Review summary

From Southampton July 29th - really hot weather in the Med - fantastic at night on board ship watching the sunset in 28 degrees! Smooth crossing with not a rough patch all fortnight. Love to do it all again!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
20 mins from leaving the Holiday Inn we were in in our cabin.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Buffet was first class, absolutely loads of choice and all cooked perfectly

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We’re not into swimming or going into the pool but it certainly looked great fun

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Quite poor compared to Ventura last year. The Tina Turner tribute was dreadful but thankfully the entertainment on board was saved by a couple of really good singing entertainers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Couldn’t fault the staff, polite and hard working

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was fantastic, spotless in all areas despite refit due next April.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was lovely, nice and clean with a great sunny balcony but the air con unit outside the door in the corridor was proven to be a bit too noisy at night. Had to buy ear plugs - problem solved!

Ship tip

Book it - it’s great

Ports of call

Cadiz (Spain)

5 out of 5
Lovely place, walked straight off the ship.

Barcelona, Spain

4 out of 5
Great cosmopolitan atmosphere but too crowded for my liking.

Florence/Pisa

5 out of 5
20 mins Walk from the coach parking in hot sunshine absolutely drained me but worth the visit. Take comfy shoes and water in warm weather

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

4 out of 5
Stayed local, not much to see but at least you get off ship.

Cartagena, Spain

5 out of 5
Gorgeous place, plenty shops and lovely harbour - my favourite stop off from this cruise

Gibraltar (U.K.)

5 out of 5
Shops shops and shops, no time for anything more as we only had four hours off ship.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy .. found our suitcases in less than 5 mins, picked our car up from CPS (Highly recommend using) and on our way home within 10 minutes
