Review summary

There wasn't much to do on the cruise apart from repeated activities. Also the cruise was catered for and was typically 'English', even-though we were in the Caribbean. Too many sea days, and why oh why are there port days on Sunday? The WHOLE of the Caribbean is shut on a Sunday! its a waste of a port day.

Embarkation

Embarkation was seamless

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
food wasn't the best. There wasn't any tropical fruits of the Caribbean considering we were in the Caribbean! But customer service in every area was excellent!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
ballroom classes, pools, gym, sauna, seminars, talks, poolside activities. There could have been more as a lot of it was repetitive,

Entertainment

4 out of 5
the stage shows were excellent, especially the guest performers.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5

Ship Quality

excellent!

Cabin / Stateroom

good size.

Ship tip

Don't bring too much too many clothes, it's not needed at all. But bring lounging clothes for when chilling around the ship on sea days. Also see reception asap about removing the gratuity fee if not happy with it.

Ports of call

Bridgetown, Barbados

ummm. it was Independence day and due to the time of our arrival we missed the parade. All the shops were shut. however pirates cove is a great beach front located on carlise bay. it was the best beach front out of all the ports we had visited. When walking to bridgetown from the port look out for a shop window selling 'iceey' on the left hand side of a side road. it was delicious.

St. John's, Antigua

it was a sunday. Nothing was open apart from vendors and they were pushy.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

nothing to do apart from island tours, but take into consideration that the island was hit hard by hurricane irma.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

faaaaaar away from any of the towns so more or less stuck at the port, even-though the port is well serviced with bars, swimming pool, two water slides, (all free), zip line.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

loved this island! we had an excellent tour guide named Jose. He gave us a great tour of the french and dutch side.

Castries, St. Lucia

if you walk to town from the port there is a local stall and information 'centre' on the route informing of local food, culture etc. Very friendly man the runs it and all organises tours. Next time I visit I plan to visit this stall again.

St. George's, Grenada

5 out of 5
many things to do it.

Kingstown, St. Vincent

not much to do in town, but the welcome entertainment is excellent. Tried to visit the Layou pictograph and didn't due to the terrible customer service received, lack of information and lack of their correct money for change. It really put me off, and i wouldn't visit the centre in a hurry, unless these things changed dramatically.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Seamless and smooth. However sorting out account issues while on the ship was quite annoying as there wasn't enough staff for the number of people. But the staff coped well and the queue went quickly.
