Review summary

Enjoyable 1st Xmas Cruise would recommend to solo travelers

Embarkation

P&O. Have a great entertainments team. The inside cabin was comfortable. Only have 9 tv channels, at least 3 were P&O only. Plenty of dining choices. I was on 2nd sitting 8.30 pm. Late show in theatre 10.30-10.45 pm. Other venues could get very busy so more TV movie channels would be nice Travelled solo. Went to 4pm tea in Peninsular restaurant where tables for solo travellers are a great way of meeting people I use a walker but advised only certain excursions had buses with space for wheelchairs etc Taxi provided from airport to ship at start/finish of Cruise, brilliant

Some reception and shop staff not very helpful Although laundrette on board. Advised no soap powder when I asked on 24th. Also told non available for staff either

Some areas had eg Brodie’s bar the seats had been patched up an some carpets in communal areas need replacing Self service restaurants and outdoor bar areas, tables not cleared as soon as left and I noticed food under tables not swept up

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin clean n tidy. Had to ask for face clothes as none on arrival. Also the shower mat wasn’t replaced one day. Russel the steward helped getting my walker in/out. Asked if I could get a doorstop but nothing

Ship tip

Entertainment in theatre according to other passengers same as previous years eg U2/Duran Duran tribute bands and Roy Walker. No my choice If you don’t like a particular menu ask for choices from other menus

Had the vacate cabins by 8am. Full use of all ship facilities until time to go to airport. Delayed flight meant didn’t leave ship and spent more time than needed at airport
