Review summary

This was the perfect cruise for seeing the best Greek island stops along with Ephesus in Turkey with the shortest amount of cruise days. Azamara is the best with the culturally immersive experiences and the smaller, more intimate all-inclusive cruising experience. I fully recommend this cruise as an excellent choice!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It's so easy with Azamara and they are there to help you along every step of the way.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food is always well prepared with great variety and easily accessible. The all-inclusiveness of a basic drink package is great as well.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Azamara doesn't have a lot of extra on-board stuff like Rock walls, casinos, water slides, etc. but they have other activities such as pools, hot tubs, organized games and entertainment, etc. So if you don't want or need all those extras this is a great choice. Plus with a smaller passenger total, you are seldom if ever waiting in line to do anything!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
On both Azamara cruises e have taken and especially this Greece trip, the entertainment has been fabulous. Honestly I was expecting less with it being a smaller boat but the talent, the shows and amount of on-board entrainment has ben amazing. Plus for one of the nights they either take you on shore or bring in a cultural show or talent of some sort to to an AZAMZING Evening event which is great!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This is another area where I would rank Azamara and the crew from the Quest for this Greece cruise as good as any in the business from our experience. Every area from the wait staff to the state room attendants to the customer loyalty, the concierge services and even interactions with the other staff was top tier level.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It's pretty basic, which we like and all of the 4 ships in the Azamara fleet are identically designed as far as the layout is concerned. (we have cruised on the Journey and the Quest) It was certainly very clean and well-maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
This was the first time we have stayed in a rear cabin so I'm still deciding on doing that again. I liked the larger balcony and it seemed more quiet than any other part of the ship. We did have to deal with some soot from the smoke stack on part of our balcony one day but it was cleaned up easily nd the room steward cleaned our balcony every day so it was not a real issue but something to be aware of if you choose this room. We are not usually in our cabin much since we did excursions every day and we like to hang out in the piano bar or other entertainment spaces on the ship.

Ship tip

It's a smaller ship which some people might not like if you need more activities. But the service and experience Azamara provides is on a level of excellence that tends to bring many repeat customers, including us.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Again, with the smaller shi the disembarkation experience is much more relaxed. You still have the huge breakfast available and you can exit more at your leisure which we enjoy more. They are also very available to help you in this process for whatever you need.
