This was the first time we have stayed in a rear cabin so I'm still deciding on doing that again. I liked the larger balcony and it seemed more quiet than any other part of the ship. We did have to deal with some soot from the smoke stack on part of our balcony one day but it was cleaned up easily nd the room steward cleaned our balcony every day so it was not a real issue but something to be aware of if you choose this room. We are not usually in our cabin much since we did excursions every day and we like to hang out in the piano bar or other entertainment spaces on the ship.

If you get upgraded to this cabin, take it! The only things to consider are it is at the back of the ship and the patio gets soot from the engines. On our iteniary, it was too warm to sit out most days anyway, so soot did not bother us.
