Review summary

Cruising the Inside Passage is something everyone should do at least once. I hope to do it again. Be prepared for rain, but don't let that stop you from exploring the ports. Plenty to see and do. I highly recommend a splurge in Juneau to go dog sledding. There aren't many places where you can fly up to a glacier on a helicopter and then have a team of Alaskan huskies pull you through the snow (during the summertime). It's not inexpensive, but it's worth every penny.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Departing from Vancouver is a dream. Probably the most efficient embarkation I can imagine

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Chef specials in the Discoveries dining room were exquisite. The buffets are great. The main dining in Discoveries is even better.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
On a smaller ship there is less to do. Even so the trivia contests and activities during at sea days make the time zip by

The Living Room

5 out of 5

Great place for quiet during the day and live or DJ music in the evening. Great views as well. One of the best hangouts on the ship.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
In general the shows were good, though not quite as great as what I experienced on my last Azamara cruise. Looking forward to more cruises so as to get a feel for what to expect.

Children's Programs

no kids and no kids programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Azamara always does an amazing job with service. Top of the line from start to finish.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Easy to navigate the common areas. Pool bar got a fresh coat of paint on departure day so it was in great shape for the rest of the journey.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Adequate size for two. Didn't spend much time indoors with such great scenery to see in Alaska. When at sea, enjoyed the fresh air on deck or looking out the windows at the front of the ship in the Living Room.

Ship tip

Collect the 'participation' stamps at the daily trivia or other activities to 'earn' Azamara branded swag at the end of the voyage.
