Review summary

I waited 20 years for this mediterrean cruise and it exceeded my expectations. Loved the smaller ship for the ease of embarkment and disembarkment, quality of service, and tips and drinks being included. This ship seemed to cater to my age group (60-70's). My husband loved that he didn't have to dress up in a jacket for meals. There is a lot of walking on the tours, so don't wait too long to do this cruise, so that you can enjoy all the excursions.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Drinks were included! What a plus. Bottles of water everywhere, great for excursions. Free room service was wonderful. We chose to have breakfast delivered to our balcony every morning. Great especially for getting ready for early departure for excursions.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Being a smaller ship, there weren't as many outstanding shows or great activities. But we went to Europe to sightseeing and we were gone most of the day. Loved the fact there was a laundry room which was free. Able to do our own laundry was a plus.

Entertainment

They had a lot of opera singers on board. We would have never paid to go to an opera show, but was glad we got the experience. Singers were talented.

Children's Programs

Very few children on board, which I liked. This was late August to early September and most children were back to school.

Service and Staff

Everyone was friendly and always in a good mood.

Ship tip

Although all the food was good, I recommend the Prime C upscale dining experience. It was worth the money. You need to sign up early for these. *** Spend the money for excursions. I was thrilled with each experience. All excursions had 24-26 people.

Do a Gondola ride! Beautiful city. Cobblestones are a little hard to walk on.

Didn't do an excursion here. Not a very accessible city to walk in.

Loved this country and scenery. You must do an excursion to see the countryside.

Sorrento, Italy

My favorite port. Gorgeous. Ask where the flee markets are to get some great priced souvenirs!

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

A city full of history. Lots of walking. Not as scenic as the other ports, but still a must. It takes 1 1/2 hrs to ride to Rome, so this makes for a long day.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy
