It was great to be on a smaller ship that didn't require a GPS and a water supply to traverse. The "community" was smaller and a little more intimate. Had no problems getting space at the pool. The spa was great although the services were a little pricey. The food at all 4 dining areas was great- service was good. Loved it!

Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Outstanding- highly recommend Aqualina specialty restaurant. Suggest ordering the tasting menu as for a few extrea bucks, they pair some very high waulity wines with each course. If you are in the typical American eat fast mode, then don't go- but if you are looking for a meal event, then give it a shot.
The buffet for breaksfast and lunch was good and we event ate dinner there a few times. GREAT sushi bar every night. Also the main dining area staff and food was very good. The open seating arrangement worked very well. We enjoyed dining with different people each night.
Entertainment

The comedy and magician acts were good. The 5 person revues were mediocre. The one female dancer with tatoos on her back didn't add anything...
Service and Staff

It seems that Azamara has done a great job here- Every single member from the Captain to the guy painting the rail gives a cheery hello- I would guess they have all been told that if eye contact is made to say hi.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
All areas were well maintained, fresh paint, varnish, clean etc. Ship size was a plus. Cabin size and balcony size were a little small in my opinion.
Cabin / Stateroom

Again a little small, but everything in it was very well appointed. Not sure waht the butler concept is all about- he was easy to reach if you needed something and fast to respond, however the cabin steward appeared to be doing most of the work.
Ports of call
Cabrits, Dominica

I had booked a private SCUBA dive here and was not disappointed. Met us at the pier and returned us. We even snorkeled at the pier too. Recommend contacting the Cabrits dive center online to set it up. Ask for Helen. They take snorkelers too. Heard a lot of negative comments about the town but we never meade it there. We ate lunch at the purpleTurtle which was OK. Ask for the Cherry Juice...Strong rum in it.
Loved it. Could have stayed more time. We did the 4x4 tour around the island and saw lots of great sites. We ended up at hte Baths which was overcrowded and over rated in my opinion- perhaps if it's not crowded it would better but I would have preferred staying at Savannah Bay beach- although be forewarned there are no servies there.
Walked around town- interesting but not the cleanest. People were not all too friendly and I speak French too so it wasn't a language thing. We were on our own and enjoyed some of the shops.
Snorkelling again... On the ships excursion- beautiful water and reef- Shops were all closed on sunday- The taxis were expensive- $25 for a 5 minute ride to the beach...
On our own- taxi to Trunk Bay for snorkeling then to Caneel bay hotel for lunch. Back to the dock for some shoppping. Would have liked to spend more time.
