This was our first cruise on a small ship but we will definitely do it again . Would recommend it to anyone except families with young children . Azamara clients tend to be middle aged to seniors .

4 out of 5
Excellent choice of food in all eateries. Hot plates used throughout which was refreshing these days . The Brunches were probably some of the best we have experienced .

5 out of 5
Nothing to criticise .....fresh flowers twice during the cruise ....daily clean and towels and bedding changed appropriately. Yes bathroom is small but we managed perfectly. Cases fitted under bed and I took magnetic hooks for the cabin stored hats & bags ect.
Ship tip
Cut back on luggage launderette on deck 7 was very useful. Keep dress smart casual.
Used Hop on Hop off bus given it took 90mins to travel the route .... we ran out of time to utilise the stops as there was a 30 min wait in between next bus. It was Jan so we lost the light early . We also had a problem with our pick up from the port and ended up having to pay 20$ to get to the first pick up point .
Very easy port to exit took a taxi into the old town and walked along the pedestrianised seafront . Very relaxed shopping and eating places . Took a bus back to port that was fun .
Took an excursion booked with travel agent before leaving along with Hop on Hop off bus in Cartagena . Wouldn’t do this again there was a change of time when the bus was leaving and six passengers were informed and we weren’t leaving them sitting on the bus for an hour . They were not well pleased and created an atmosphere. The visit to Antiqua old town was okay but involved visiting a jade outlet not our idea of fun especially when the town was buzzing with market stalls . In the afternoon we visited the Hot Springs which was a novel experience being plunged from extremely hot pool to ice floating pool with two others in between at varying temperatures. Lunch which was included very basic at the Hot Springs .
Not impressed with what we saw . In fairness we didn’t take an excursion and chose to walk of ship and mooch on our own . Didn’t stay off long the port area around the front was littered and not very welcoming.
Loved San José del Cabo took a bus and shopped and had lunch . It’s a thirty minute bus ride and 10/15 min walk from the bus stop it worth the effort..... the coastline is amazing would love to go back for a holiday. Got a taxi back to port 35$ plus tip . Cheaper than the tour which took you to a glass blowing factory .
