It started out horribly although due to note fault of Royal Caribbean. We were supposed to leave on Saturday, but were stuck in port until Monday afternoon because of a weather system sitting on the east coast. Once the system passed and we were able to leave, all our stops except CocoCay were cancelled. Thus, we spent $6300 on a cruise that went to CocoCay.

In comparison the port is basic, but clean and organized. The area for Suite guests doesn't compare to the port of Miami.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
We never ate in the main dining room.
Wonderland was a one time experience. Definitely a different experience.
Over the years, Windjammer is getting worse. The only vegetables were cold dishes (never heated), or broccoli. Don't expect to eat a balanced meal.
Johnny Rockets was always good as expected.
Coastal Kitchen was good.
Onboard Activities

Didn't get in the pools, and sharing a hot tub was 12 other people doesn't sound appealing.
My husband did North Star and loved it.
We both did iFly which was a really cool experience.
Entertainment

Really like "We Will Rock You" although it was a little long. Didn't care for "The Gift" or "Spectre's Cabaret". The headliner was Earl Turner, whom I've seen many times in the past, and he is always an incredible showman and sings such a variety of songs. The Bon Jovi cover band "Wanted" that played was excellent. Great musicians. However, the "Swedes" weren't that good. We loved "The Music Hall" but we felt that it should be an adults only area after 8p. There were a lot of parents/grandparents in the Music Hall getting drunk and letting their little kids (2 - 7 years old) run wild all around the dance floor. Just imagine Romper Room with a bar. They were doing this while folks were trying to perform karaoke.
Service and Staff

Guest Services folks are never really pleasant; however, all the rest of the staff were exceptionally nice and accommodating.
Ship Quality

Ship was definitely clean and well-maintained. After having been on Allure last, Anthem didn't company as to layout. Allure feels very open and inviting, but Anthem always reminds you having being in a hotel no matter where you go. It is still a really nice ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

Best part for me was having a 1/2 bath so my husband and I didn't have to fight over the bathroom. Also the jacuzzi tub was wonderful but the jets aren't that strong. Still a nice soaking tub. There is more closet and drawer space than you will ever need in this Owner's Suite.
