Review summary

Terrible and very disappointed experience! especially after the company promise to give 100% credit toward future cruise, they only gave us about 2/3 back. I am filing a formal complaint.

Embarkation

There was a last minute change of itinerary, the check in clark could not help us understand what options we had but giving us a number to call which had to re-direct us multiple times to get to the right team

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The buffer did not have that many options, very limited Asian options. Food at main dining rooms is barely ok, for all the courses we had only the mushroom soup is arguably good.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
The ship was anchor for 3 days, shops and Casino are all closed. There were not much to do other than stay at the bar. We went to see the Gift show which stopped only 5 mins in due to technical problem. All other onboard activities which need a reservation were fully booked given there is not much else to do. Kids activities are poor.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
We went to see the Gift show which stopped only 5 mins in due to technical problem.

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
I don't think there were any apart from a tiny indoor playground for really young babies

nothing is there. It's in a deserved area.

Disembarkation

RC changed the destination last minute for the second time in a 3 day interval. And gave only 1 hour to the guest to consider, decide, and check out and pack and leave the ship. There were so many guests rushed to leave the ship, the check out line at the customer services were crazy.

100% future cruise credit does not include taxes and port fees.

I can totally understand how upset you were over your “ cruise “. As others have said.. that is the chance we all take when booking during this season. We were on the ship 4 weeks before you and it was perfect. I’m sure no one wants to cancel a trip they have saved for, planned and looked forward too for months if not a year or more. After reading your review , if I’m ever in this situation I will cancel. I wouldn’t want to sit in port three days either. That being said... I’m sure the staff tried their best ... and the CruiseLine did offer something back as a refund?? They had to try to keep you all safe ... hard situation on both sides. Good luck

I was on grandeur, you were docked and could go to nyc. We were anchored and could not get off boat. We were never given the choice to leave and get our money back. And we recieved only 1 day future cruise credit. We stopped at nassau from 10:30pm to 1:30am. Like who is really getting off. They had to switch out entertainment and get supplies. Yet we got charged port fees. Rccl dropped the ball on this one

Been on her three times never once has a single issue shes an amazing ship with amazing staff but also when crusing thats the chance you take bad weather hits sometimes thats not their fault you could of been on any cruise line and that would of happened plenty delicious food options and absolutely plenty of activities to do we brought out baby with us on this ship and had a blast plenty to do on board i think one little problem you had you chose to turn your vacation into a bad one .....

Wow! What an experience. Did anything good happen on your cruise?

Sorry for the weather problems but with cruising that is the chance we all take. The cruise line has no control of Mother Nature.

It's not like a plane, you could of very well disembarked at anytime during operational hours of the port while the ship was stuck there to go on a bus tour of NYC, visit the Empire State Building, over to the Liberty Science Center, or you could of even grab an Uber/Lyft over to the Garden State Outlets. Your ship never hit a foreign port so as long as port security was on duty to scan your bags and check your Seapass and photo ID you were never restricted to the ship.

Most of the weather problems aren't something the ship can do anything about. There was a bad storm along the entire east coast.
