Review summary

Food and service in the dining room are sub par. Entertainment was boring except for Spectrum. 10 Th cruise we've taken, fourth with RC and2 nod on Anthem. Worse cruise we have ever gone on. They should hire a whole new cruise director and staff. Waited 15 minutes for a server to take our order for dinner. He was about to walk away when I grabbed his arm and told him to take it now. Worse cruise we have ever been on. And they don't really care if I say that!

Best place for breakfast. For whatever reason, cruise ships just do not make very good breakfast, however, the staff made sure you had what ever would make you happy. Again, the way cruises use to be.

The Grande

Food was boring. If you did not have a regular time and table (we did my time dining) you were pretty much ignored. The cruise ships should go back to envelope tipping.

Yum. Worth the extra money. Treat you like what a cruise is suppose to be. Server was attentive and made sure you were pleased with everything.

Servers keep their back to you until you say "excuse me" then they finally stop talking or turn around annoyed that you interrupted them. Food isn't bad.

Two years ago there was something always fun going on in the Music Hall. This time the only thing that was any good was the couple at another table that was having a discussion about what a slob the husband was. Boring!

Ship tip

Check exactly where your stateroom is. Our room was directly over the lifeboats so the tops of the lifeboats as well as the large white brackets are in all our pictures. Make sure they are upfront with you when booking and paying for a balcony. Don't think that they will help you out, they won't.

If your not used to a large ship experience you will come away jaded - and if you really grabbed the waiters arm - shame on you! That is simple assault and could have been an issue that you would have not wanted to deal with - give him a break he works for what 6-8 tables — cut him some slack

Been on Royal Caribbean ships 8 different times and never had all these problems sounds like you expect too much and a little bit of patience goes a long way

Wow hard to believe this is the same ship I just got off. We had a blast. Dining room staff was very friendly and housekeeping was very friendly too. Ship was beautiful and entertainment was excellent. One of them was a bit odd but We will rock you was tremendous. Journey tribute band was awesome. We did not have one night of down time. We enjoyed everything!! For being a big ship it is very well organized for getting on and off and for the ports.

I was on Anthem last year and I thought the dining room service was horrendous. The waiter couldn't even be bothered making conversation with us and kept forgetting to bring what we had ordered. I don't know if it was because we were on a corporate event or not but we ended up eating in the speciality restaurants for the whole cruise because I couldn't stand the food and service in the main dining room. I have to say the bigger ships really suffer from this as it was similar on Harmony the year before. I had an amazing time on Navigator though and got to know our waiters so we'll.. I'm hoping for a repeat of this on Navigator in a few days time!!

I was on Anthem in March. Food was good and our server, Alvira, may have been the BEST i’ve had on my 13 cruises.

Cannot believe you actually grabbed a waiters arm, I think that is very wrong indeed and could even be assault.

Me too. We are supposed to go 260 days from now... Not that I'm counting LOL. We had such fun on our last Cruise. The people and the food was great. And I was just so happy to finally be away on vacation with my workaholic husband. Maybe I'll actually get to spend some time with him

Been on this ship last year had a blast food and service was outstanding we actually going again in October I hope it's not like your visit
