Review summary

Overall the cruise was great. The ports were fun and so were the onboard activities. I would ask that more water stations be added around the boat, and that a boat with an indoor pool not be sent to the Caribbean during the summer as most people want to use an outdoor pool and available space is limited. Aside from those 2 things, I greatly enjoyed the onboard activities and ports.

Embarkation

Everything went very quick. We did the pre boarding check in so that when we arrived at Bayonne, we entered the facility and took maybe 5 minutes waiting on one line. Then we were able to board the boat!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room service was great! Our waiter was Kelson and his helper was Yan. We really enjoyed their service and friendliness. I did not enjoy the limited choices on the menu. I do not eat seafood or beef and feel that the menu was primarily based on that. There could have been more pasta or chicken options. The ice cream bar was only open for 7 hours and it wasn't enough; it would have been nice if it were open maybe 9am-9pm instead of 11am-6:30pm. Sorrentos pizza was also great, however there were days when the pizza didn't taste well. The burnt slices were better. Last, more water stations should have been included around the boat. There was one in the bakery next to Sorrentos, and also within the buffets. Maybe adding some near the pool would be nice.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the activities on the boat, including surfing, boogie boarding, rock climbing, bumper cars, outdoor pool, North Star, ifly. We would have liked to see the SeaPlex activities include more 18+ sessions, as there was only one soccer tournament and dodgeball tournament 18+. The bumper car session was also only 2 and a half minutes, while we waited on an hour and a half line for it. Very disappointing.

Entertainment

The gift and karaoke were my favorite. We did not enjoy spectras cabaret, and heard bad reviews for we will rock you.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
We loved our dining room waiter Kelson and Yan! They were both friendly and attentive. We will miss them!!! Also our room attendant, Jean Simmons was amazing. She was very nice and accommodating to the things we requested.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I'm still trying to wrap my mind around why a ship with an indoor pool would be sent to the Caribbean in the middle of the summer. Although it was used, the room had an overwhelming stench of chlorine and was uncomfortably hot. Perhaps a ship with two outdoor pools would be better suited. The ship was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was as expected. It was cleaned very well, however we had a feeling that there was mold in the vent in the shower.

Ship tip

Book all of your on board activities before or right as you embark on the boat! They fill up fast.
