Review summary

The Anthem truly is a beautiful ship but lacking in good entertainment.  The outside guest are phenomenal but the Royal Caribbean dancers and singers seriously need to consider trashing the show We Will Rock You and stage one of the more popular shows like Grease, Mama Mia, West Side Story etc.  These are shows that will appeal to all guests,  I enjoyed the Dynamic Dining but the overall cleanliness of the ship is poor.  Plus, the staff Never encourages the guest to "Washy Washy" their hands before entering any of the dining rooms including the Windjammer.  The staff truly needs to be trained on the procedure.  I hope that Royal Caribbean tends to this issue before I cruise on the Anthem again.

@tammylacey56 search both hotels and parking in Jersey City. Not far from Bayonne so should be easy to cab or Uber to and from the port. For parking away from the waterfront is cheaper e.g. Journal Square.

We are going on the anthem in dec. can't wait. We will be celebrating my husbands birthday. For our family. We just like to get the opportunity to get away and grab some rays.Went on oasis in October and it was great. Hopefully this trip will be as fun as the lady one!!!

sorry for your loss, I have many family members who passed with cancer, it's awful. I merely gave an opinion on a show.

tammylacey56    8 years ago

my friend just died last night of cancer.wow do they realize that life is to short.just injoy .stop complaining of everything.if you had to see what I did .you would appreciate all what u do have people he'll u are on a cruise

Man, can't people have an opinion. I love the music of Queen, even saw them in concert. That show was like watching a high school musical. As for your Titanic comment oandroplex700@aol.com, it's a pleasure to talk to the last survivor of that great ship it must have been a crazy night. Also you must be very happy with aol , I think your the last person on earth that subscribes to it.

Dingo68    8 years ago

Given that the music of Queen was from the 80's and 90's and that most guest on our cruise were in that age bracket perhaps that explains the comment that the music was for young people. Why on earth do these people go on a ship that targets a younger demographic and then complain when they don't play the Charlestown!!!!

Next time try the titanic , I think you will like the shows on that ship better!!

We enjoyed every aspect of cruising on the Anthem. Food, service and the ship were all outstanding.

We just sailed on the Anthem the first two weeks of January and I don't understand the comments about the Windjammer. You can not enter the buffet without receiving direction from the staff to wash your hands. If fact for breakfast, you hear the familiar sound of wakey, wakey; washy, washy. Also, We Will Rock You was based on the music of Queen, which is a multi-generational band.

Why is the show triggered toward the young with we will rock you?

omg washy washy was the best part of entering the dining rooms... I hope things get on track to the "rccl" standards with this ship before October...
