Review summary

Were told by we were getting a good deal with the room and because of this Royal Caribbean would choose the room.  They sure did, giving us a room over the engine room with the bed and walls shaking.,  We requested a room change which occurred in the middle of the night.  One day after the room change we were informed we would have to give up the second room to a family boarding in Nassau.  We were told by Guest Services that we had one hour to pack and get out.  Naturally we will never cruise with RC again.  We were part of a VIP group with a TV celebrity.  Really disgusting treatment.

I just booked a guaranteed balcony last night for the March 27 sailing. Took a chance because of the steep discount they offered on it for law enforcement/emt/firefighters, figured what the heck, if a get a cruddy room I'll still be in the Caribbean for nearly 12 days, I won't have to cook or clean and I got a cheaper rate. Minutes after my credit card cleared we were assigned a room, a superior balcony on the 11th deck aft, so I didn't do to bad with the guarantee. I saved about $1000 over choosing that same room from the start.

I've been booking with cruises only for about 10 Years, and I would NEVER take a "guaranteed" room, I choose my own room for that same reason...

very sad a hanger on complains in such a way if it was me dealing with you would be off at the next port. I am a chef and have worked for some so called celebrities, Gordon Ramsey would have chucked you overboard in his heyday. Pompous behaviour doesn't cut it with the good folk of this world. Shame you didn't appreciate what you had, for many people of the world a cruise is a dream the next meal is a real concern. Grow up and find your humanity.

Just because you were with a TV celebrity doesn't mean you get special treatment. This is a new ship and they're still trying to figure everything out

Margot - sorry this happened. - there are cabins that are less then perfect - for me the shanking and engine rumble would help me sleep better. - but not everyone would be like me. In RCL defense they did try to help and did move you - someone must of goofed and not realized the room was booked when they gave it to you. - They made a mistake - and must of been limited in options.

yeap i only let rc directly pick my room i never go through anything other ppl not even expedia

If you allow the cruise line to pick your cabin, you're just asking for problems. That's why those fares are cheaper. Unfortunately, Cruises Only or other cruise brokers or travel agencies can (and will) tell you just about anything to sell you a cruise. The only promises or "good deals" I would believe are those coming directly from the cruise line itself. VIP or not, you get what you pay for

royal caribbean is the best ...i have to agree i too sometimes let them place me where they want but it comes with risk.. thank god it has never happen to me. 😂😂

You get what you pay for. VIP?? Obviously a case of self importance.
