Echoing the previous question - what does this have to do with Amsterdam?
I usually thank people for posting a review, but this doesn't qualify as a review - it's a complaint festival for things that the cruise ship has little to no control of and many of your comments are things you should have been aware of had you bothered to look at your itinerary before booking the trip.
Too many days at open sea -> Did you bother to look at your itinerary and count the number of sea days? This should not come as a surprise.
Very limited Port to call -> Again... you are responsible for knowing about the cruise you book. I can't see this as the cruise line's fault.
Truly bad weather -> This is completely out of the cruise line's control. How can you rate down on this? Sorry you had poor weather but that is a risk to any vacation.
Not prepared activities for alternative routes for weather change. -> Again, weather-related changes to the planned itinerary are a risk and one that is stated in your passenger contract. When sudden changes are made, it is near impossible for the ship to have options ready because vendor arrangements are made by contractual agreement in advance.
Here is a concept to consider... it is up to each adult individual to decide to have a good time and make the best of a given situation. Sure, we can all sit back and place blame on the ship, the crew, the passengers in the next cabin or any other easy target. But the bottomline is that we make a choice to be miserable or to make the best of a situation and have a good time regardless of the obstacles.
NOT a Good experience -> I sincerely hope that hindsight allows you to be more forgiving of the perceived shortcomings and that the more enjoyable aspects of your vacation outshine the few downsides.

Didn't you read the itinerary before you booked the cruise to see how many sea days you would have ? You were in HAL......it is a blue hair cruise line, I hope you did not expect a non stop party like RCI or Carnival.
I have said before and will say again "An evening of research can make or break a week of vacation" know what your getting yourself into !!!!!!!
Well said!

(Shaking Head)!!! Another one....OK....let's review......THE WEATHER IS NOT UNDER CONTROL OF THE CRUISE LINE OR THE SHIP AND CAN NOT BE ALTERED!!! The safety of the passengers, crew and vessel are foremost before itinerary. So, in other words, if the cruise line or Captain of the vessel deem it necessary to change course or itinerary for the safety of the a fore mentioned FOR ANY REASON, they will (read your cruise contract)!! Just as you didn't plan for bad weather, I'm sure the crew didn't either nor did the Captain!! You were still on a cruise. Would you have rather taken the chance of rough seas? And even if you did make it to port under those conditions, do you really think you would have enjoyed your port visit? The food was "Excellent", you liked your cabin and got to visit 50% of your ports! Sorry your cruise was "NOT a good experience"!! I'm sure many of us would have been OK with the conditions!!! I would have!!
