It was nice to see this big ship and features - but we will pass on this class of ship as long as they continue to pack passengers in like sardines. It's herds of folks everywhere - and difficult to enjoy yourself when you're having to aggressively find where to sit and eat or enjoy yourself by a pool or at a pool. If you're in a pool, there isn't even one foot of distance between you and the next person. So, if you value your personal space, I do not think you would enjoy this ship. Also, be prepared to watch elevators stop on your floor with no space for you or your family. But I think if you stay on the 17th Floor, they allow you to have exclusive priority access to the elevators.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
It was organized, but if they make you do the check in progress at home, they should have an expedited line at the pier. So you have to wait behind people who did not do the check-in at home and that can take a while.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main Dining is the highlight of the ship's food and service. The Windjammer Buffet on the other hand, you'll have to get up extra early in order to find a seat for breakfast. If you're a drinker, get the drink package. The Royal App is Royal Crap. It constantly crashes and the messaging feature is terrible.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Ice Skating was nice, I just wish they offered it more than just 3 times during the entire sailing for a few hours in 20 minute sessions. Decks, Gyms, Pools and hot tubs were packed and we were unable to enjoy.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
This was really good. Mama Mia show was nice, and so was the Aqua show.
Children's Programs
3 out of 5
It was good, but they close various times throughout the day.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff on the ship are mostly dedicated and helpful.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Ship is beautiful, they could have designed more public areas and elevators instead of so much open air on the ship. This leads to a lot of crowding on the decks, buffets, and elevators.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
A bit tight, but was clean and had enough space for 3 people and our stuff. I think 4 would be a very tight fit.
Ship tip
Wake up early to have breakfast and if you wish to find a seat at the buffet, enjoy the gym, pool, hot tub, or a lounger. Otherwise, be prepared to hunt for those available. you will be crowdedw
It was OK. Now that 2 ships dock here, the crowds are large and seating is first come first serve - if you are an early riser, you should be OK. If you have Kids, the kids area is nice, but there is very limited seating area for the adults to watch the kids.
Not enough excursions offered for the size of the crowd - they sell out right away. We did our own excursion with a company at the pier - not by choice, but it was still very nice.

I am starting to believe more and more and I'm sorry if I upset or a Caribbean enthusiast for Royal Caribbean has becoming the most money-hungry of all cruise lines offer very little if any free food options other than main dining room and buffet maybe called pizza and cookies still demanding expensive and stressful pre-cruise testing for 6-day cruises but not five big cruises totally irrational and random charging almost double for their drink packages other cruise lines charge don't even offer a set price to their customers change their prices for food and beverage packages on daily basis to take the most profit possible I understand I am a customer but at least give me back a little something
I found if you went to the pools around 7am they were empty at least on my sailing. That was the only way I enjoyed it and around 4pm by the sport pool. I agree on finding seats by the pool- lots of empty towels
Thanks for the review. Try cruising when school is in session for a better experience. Booking excursions independently and not through the ship is almost always a better experience.
