Ship tip
Get an early boarding time, then split up. One go to book restaurants/the other go to book shows and entertainment. Then do the muster drill and he that out of the way. The first few hours are chaotic as with this that has to be done on-board vs on-line before boarding. It stinks, but it’s all up from there. Mama Mia was 100% Broadway caliber, the diving show is outstanding, and the lounges are loaded with very talented musicians. I really only have 2 criticisms. This is a large ship with a lot of passengers, but it never really felt crowded except 1) in the pools and 2) in the Windjammer (buffet), especially for breakfast. Both are very undersized for a ship with this many passengers. We’ve sailed several Royal ships but this Windjammer had almost all limited pre-cooked breakfast selections and no omelet stations, Breakfast in the restaurants, the cafe in Central Park, or Johnny Rockets is a better choice. Other than that, the ship is extraordinary. The meals other than breakfast were great and 150 Central Park was an incredible dining experience. We had zero service issues and the wait staff in the MDR was outstanding. The rooms were very comfortable and clean but they need a few more outlets or USB ports. We loved Allure and will sail an Oasis class again ASAP.
