Loved it, highly recommend. We have only sailed on the Oasis and Allure of the Seas, love these ships, the entertainment and the various bars/pubs.
Embarkation

We were at the terminal @ 10:10a, on the Allure of the Seas ship @ 11a. Went directly to Park Cafe for late breakfast/early lunch, then up to the Solarium for sun and drinks.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We did not purchase any specialty dining. My experience in the main dining room for dinner was great. My husband's experience was just ok. He ordered a seafood entre' which was a very small portion, compared to last year on the Oasis. (One piece of fish, 2 shrimps and 2 scallops, batter was very thick and not good.) Main dining room breakfast, left a lot to be desired, very long wait for a la cart items and temperature was not hit. Buffet items were not hot. Park Cafe was the best breakfast, then Wipe Out Cafe, then Solarium, in regards to quality and temperatures. Park Cafe was the best for lunch, also. Drinks and service in bars and pool side was fantastic.
Cafe Promenade
5 out of 5
The center of the evening dance parties and an excellent place to people watch, any time of the day.
Sorrento's
5 out of 5
Huge improvement to the Sorrento's on the Oasis of the Seas, February 2019. Flavorful, cooked completely and several varieties of pizza.
Windjammer Cafe

Very crowded, several hot foods were not hot, but more like room temp. Cold foods were cold and the staff was very attentive.
Solarium Bar

Excellent service!
Park Cafe

Very attentive and friendly!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I was here, there, everywhere! Did all the line dance classes, water aerobics, Cardio, stretch & abs exercise classes. We attended several evening dance parties, shows, karaoke competitions and very much enjoyed Charlie Jourdan (guitarist) in the Bow & Stern Pub. My husband was only as busy as he wanted to be. He enjoyed our stateroom balcony, during the day, while I was out and about. We spent the evenings together out and about.
Rock Climbing Wall
5 out of 5
You need to have socks and I did not have any, but all the people that were participating in the rock climbing wall appeared to enjoy it. We watched and saw several ages, from small children to grown adults climb and I will be sure to take socks on next cruise.
Swimming Pools
5 out of 5
I used the sports pool for water aerobics, very comfortable water and nice pool.
Whirlpools

Very relaxing early and late in the day. Otherwise - very busy!
Logo Shop
5 out of 5
We won $300 OBC and purchased several items in the Logo Shop @ the end of the week, when items were on sale. I have laundered the clothing, and have not experienced an excess of shrinkage in the cotton garments, seem to be very well made.
Solarium
5 out of 5
Very peaceful area, the early and late parts of the day. Very busy other times of the day. Excellent drinks service and wicker furniture is very comfortable. I think the loungers by the pools mid-ship are more comfortable than the loungers in the Solarium.
Jogging Track
5 out of 5
Follow this to the back of the ship to sit in the complimentary chairs and watch the sunrise/set and the waves. Very tranquil space. Lots of walkers and joggers, very friendly.
Guest Services and Explorations!
5 out of 5
Very helpful, I want to the desk twice w/questions and called down to the desk twice w/questions, very helpful and friendly.
Day Spa and Fitness Center

Lots of machines for exercise use, complimentary classes are enjoyable. A very comfortable space.
Center Ice Rink

Hosted the Battle of the Sexes and Quest, very comfortable and fun venue.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The entertainment staff was amazing - Sophie & Josh (dance class leaders) were wonderful and so energetic & enthusiastic. The cruise director Michele Scarpato and his activities director (sorry cannot remember her name) were very much in evidence and really added to the enjoyment of our cruise. Made sure all the various events were FUN! Charlie Jourdan & Tribute Schmibute - Awesome. Quest, Sexiest Man Compettiotion, Belly Flop Contest, Battle of the Sexes, Love & Marriage, all FUN, FUN, FUN!
Aqua Theater

So inviting and comfortable. Very relaxing and soothing, an oasis of tranquility on the ship.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone provided service w/a smile and were so friendly! Never met an employee that was grumpy or having a bad day. Loved the dining room and Wind Jammer washy washy attendent that dressed like it was Mardi Gras everyday, such a fun lady. Balfoure, our room attendent, was wonderful, Romel from Next Cruise, was so helpful and incredibly patient answering our questions. Entertainment & Fitness staff: Sophie, Josh, Luis (dancers and dance class instructors), Peter (water aerobics instructor) - wonderful and I was looking for more classes becuase they were so much fun. Silbert (server in the Bow & Stern Pub) was wonderful and really took care of us each night we were in attendance watching Charlie Jourdan.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Layout was very familiar to the Oasis, which we cruised last year. Cleanliness was spot on and I was very impressed on how the staff was very attentive to keeping things clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a junior suite last year on the Oasis and new that was what we wanted again. We opted for 2 doors down, for a larger balcony, love the junior suites, full bath (w/tub), walk-in closet and sofa, table and chair in the sitting room area, between the bedroom and balcony.
Ship tip
The ship layout signs, near every elevator are very helpful and make it so easy to find where you are and where you want to go on the ship. We use the stairs as much as possible for 2 reasons: reduces being in elevators w/passengers that don't cover their face when they cough/sneeze, increased steps help w/extra calorie consumption. Look at the Park Cafe, Solarium & Wipe Out Cafe (less trafficked) food venues. If you have a refreshment or deluxe drink package, you can get the malts at Johnny Rockets as part of your package, (no extra cost), I had several, they are delicious. If you do not like paper straws, invest in the reusable metal or silicone straws and take w/you. I brought a metal straw/spoon combo for my frozen drinks. If you plan to purchase souvenirs from the ship stores, wait until the end of your cruise, sales are abundant. There is SO much to do and see, you will likely not be able to do it all, unless you decided not to get off the ship on port days. Decide what you want to see/do the most and make those items your priority. We did not have great weather this time, very windy, cloudy/overcast several days, but we still had a fantastic time. Your cruise is what you make it. Embrace all the fun.
We did not spend anything extra here, and were very impressed w/how much we enjoyed CocoCay. Very clean, lots of beach loungers, included food/drink venues were a much better quality when compared to Labadee. We really enjoyed our beach day @ CocoCay. They could add more maps at intersections, as it was VERY windy the day we visited and it was difficult to read the paper map that was provided to us.
We had heard this port was not a favorite by many cruisers. We had never been and walked to Paradise Island. (Think "Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous" - yachts, etc.) Our walk around Paradise Island was very nice and we felt very safe. Our walk to Paradise Island from the pier, along Bay Street, I would not recommend. I felt somewhat unsafe, as we were in an area that had a lot of abandoned buildings and sketchy people. I was w/my husband, who adopted a no-nonsense attitude and we briskly walked through this. We took a taxi back to pier from Paradise Island.
We did Cozumel El Cid Resort All Inclusive Day Pass Excursion, through Shore Excursioneer. Very nice! Excellent drinks and meals in the restaurant! Service was excellent and we talked to several guests asking if they would recommend the resort for a week's vacation - all responded with a resounding - YES!
This was a nice port for shopping and negotiating is expected. I bought all of our gifts at this port and was able to get some really good deals. I wanted to do the port pass, but I thought the price was too high, via the RCCL Cruise Planner and could not find a way to purchase independantly. I really wanted to go through the aviary, but you needed the port pass.
