Review summary

I had a fabulous time on my cruise. Even though I traveled alone, I booked with a group so it was as if I wasn't alone on the cruise. I met a great group of people and we ended up hanging out the entire week. I have no complaints about the ship or the cruise; everything was just wonderful!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation was very fast and easy. I used the app to check in at the 90 day mark, uploaded my photo and passport, and received Expedited Arrival on my mobile Seapass. It made things so much easier when I got to the port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was spectacular! I did try one specialty restaurant, 150 Central Park, and didn't care too much for the dish I had. The Windjammer buffet was good; I only had breakfast there twice and dinner once.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I enjoyed the hot tub late at night (after 10pm). The pools were always crowded on sea days so I didn't do that.

Entertainment

I missed Mama Mia and they kept cancelling the Aqua show.

Children's Programs

I don't have any kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
My room steward, Ketut, was beyond amazing. I left him a very generous tip because he always went above and beyond for me. Anything I needed, it was there without a hassle and no wait time.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is huge! There was so much to explore and by the fifth day, I think I knew my way around! I absolutely loved Central Park and the Boardwalk. The common areas were always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I had an ocean view balcony cabin to myself and it was wonderful. The size was perfect because it was just me in it and I enjoyed sitting out on my balcony alone looking at the ocean on sea days.

Ship tip

Explore the ship on embarkation day. Don't try to do everything all in one day.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
The ship sailed from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. I did not do an excursion here.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
I visited Emerald Beach and absolutely loved it. The water was kind of cool but that didn't stop me from getting in it. I enjoyed my time in St. Thomas.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
The only thing I did in San Juan was go to Senor Frogs. There was not enough time for me to do anything else that I really wanted to do.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
I absolutely loved Coco Cay. We had a floating cabana at Coco Beach Club and it was magnificent. I and 6 other people shared the cabana and it was wonderful. The food was delicious, they provided beach towels, and kept our cooler stocked with water.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was quick and painless. I was off the ship by 8:30 and at the airport by 9:15.

We were on the Allure in November. Just fantastic. Loved it. Food in MDR was absolutely delicious every night. We had a Boardwalk balcony cabin and it was great. All the shows were fabulous. Ports were great. Hope yo ho again on the Allure after drydock.
