Review summary

The ship was very good but the ports were okay. I wasn’t blown away by them. I did not know it would cost an extra 90 dollars just to use the waterpark at coco cay. That is so expensive.

Embarkation

Easy, quick, organized

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining and buffet were great. The pizza was disappointing. It tasted like a cheap frozen pizza.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I liked the rock walls, pool, carousel, but felt like when it rained there was not much to do indoors.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The headliner show was quite boring. All others were okay.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
There weren’t many indoor activities for families.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff was so great. Service was excellent. My only complaint was that my room steward didn’t make many towel characters for my niece. Only 3 in 7 days.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
It was bigger than I expected and good location. It fit 3 of us comfortably. My only complaint is there were scuff marks and lipstick on the wall.

Ship tip

Go to the main dining room!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Getting to port the morning of the cruise was difficult due to traffic

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
It’s still cold here in january-march.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Blue lagoon island was far away from port. Advertising says 25 minutes but it was a good 45 minute ferry ride.

Cozumel, Mexico

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

I stayed in port. You had to purchase a 16 dollar drink to use a chair. If you bought the port pass you got a chair far from the pool that was in the shade most of the day.

Next time do more research on the ship and ports. Can’t fault the ship for not liking the ports since you picked the itinerary. And if you did some research you would have know there’s a charge for the water park and better price to book it before you cruise. YouTube us a great source to research. Cruising is the best vacation ever 🏝🛳

All Royal ships make towel animals every other day now. If you request, your room steward will make them more often. The price for the thrillpark on coco cay is found in the cruise planner. It varies in price but still cheaper to book before you get there. We felt there's a lot to do on Allure even with rain.
