Balcony room is a must, we sat out on the balcony and counted the ships we saw in the dark on the last night, it was amazing. So much to do you are never bored.

Easy to get around to locations we wanted to be at. Ship is maintained nicely, they were repolishing wood banisters and painting the exterior while docked.

Excellent loved Romylee.
Ship tip
Bring a 12 pack of soda instead of soda package as there is only two locations to fill the cup and the cup is not dishwasher safe.
Did a self guided kayak tour, taxi included so we didn't have to worry about finding the location. Went shopping for jewelry wide selections and amazing but pricey.
We had the soda package because it came with our Boardwalk balcony cabin. However, I would not pay to have it as we usually take our own 12 pack of cans. However, if you do have the package there may not be too many soda machines but you can go to any bar and the MDR.
Glad you enjoyed your cruise and I agree with bringing own soda- always available- no wait and much cheaper. Should actually be something they include instead of being cheapscates.
We've had balconies only if it was a good deal. Yes, we've seen ships past.
As far as the soda package, I've had it and there are places at the bars to fill. I was on the Grandeur and Navigator and they had fill your own, too. The Serenade didnt. By the way, you can wash out the cup by hand and it is not a problem. I don't even have a dish washer and never had it.
We don't bring soda when we cruise with Royal as it is a castle and to schleppy. I can have as much soda I want through the package.
