Review summary

There were 8 of us on this cruise and made use of the chat feature within the RC App which was really useful. Staff were very hot and miss on this sailing which was disappointing and not usual RC standard.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
A breeze through the terminal and onto the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Everything was top notch. The only exception was any beef dishes Were the beef was a little tough but I should have remembered this from previous RC cruises.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
So much to do, so little time to do it in! Pools and hot tubs really overcrowded, and young children allowed in adult only area hot tubs!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Aqua show was amazing. A ship of its size and the amount of people onboard was too much for the entertainment on the promenade, got really busy and unable to move.

Children's Programs

No children with us!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
MDR waiters and staff were 5 star. However, have received much better service and friendliness on other cruises from bar staff. Room steward, saw him twice the whole cruise which is unusual.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Spotlessly clean. I’m not a fan of the mega ships, with the small venues and number of venues onboard. Also as mentioned above, the street parties and entertainment on the promenade deck proved far too crowded.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Size was not a problem, loads of space due to the fact it was a forward facing view. Based on the view, I would have preferred a regular side view. I wouldn’t opt for one of these cabins again. The was a lot of noise and heavy vibrations when pulling into ports in the early hours of the morning. I would definitely avoid these cabins in the future.

Ship tip

If in a group, use the Chat feature in the RC App.

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

4 out of 5
Really nice port of call and we were lucky enough to get a cabana on Barefoot beach (usually suite guests only). Sea was beautiful, but rather stoney getting into the water. Food was fantastic as was our personal waiter. My only gripe would be the amount of staff constantly holding their hands out for a tip, really annoying.

Falmouth, Jamaica

Hated every minute!!!! We made an excursion to Blue Water beach resort. Again, constant tipping requests, for dirty, tacky resort. We left after an hour.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Great port, easy transportation outside main gates. Enjoyed a day at Mr Sanchos.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Really easy and fast.

Why did you go on this cruise if you’re not fond of the letter ships. Can’t blame the ship for that.
