Review summary

We enjoyed most aspects of our cruise. The staff was excellent, hard-working, and exemplary. Our only negative marks would be due to the level of cigarette smoke in the vicinity of the casino and the smoking section on Deck 15. Non-smokers should not be subjected to second-hand smoke. Smoking should be banned aboard the cruise ship as it becomes a public place and presents a health hazard to those who have chosen not to smoke. Also, the Windjammer buffet was quite busy and chaotic. We recognize this is a byproduct of the buffet experience and not a fault of the cruise team. We did find it stressful, however. As a note to other passengers, please try to be patient with your fellow passengers and stop acting like entitled children. When there are 6,000 other people also trying to get to the same places, the same food, etc, there is going to be a need for patience and courtesy. We were treated incredibly rudely by many other passengers and may not cruise again because of this experience.

Embarkation

The staff worked hard to get us on board quickly and efficiently.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was excellent overall, especially in the specialty restaurants. The Windjammer was completely chaotic and crazy, which can be stressful.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the climbing wall, zipline, Flow Rider and the gym. The staff was excellent, very helpful.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were very good. Blue Planet and Ocean Aria were a little cheesy but the performers were excellent.

Children's Programs

no kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiters in the main dining room were outstanding. Best service we've ever had. Our room attendant was also helpful and hardworking.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Overall the ship is very nice. However, it seemed to us there should be more public bathrooms for a ship of this size.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Small cabin, as expected, but plenty of storage space. No problem putting the suitcases under the bed after unpacking.

Ship tip

Be patient on embarkation and debark days. It gets pretty crazy and people get stressed out and entitled.

Disembarkation

The staff got us off the boat efficiently. Much like embarkation day, the other passengers get very rude and aggressive.
