Other than issues with our cabin attendant we enjoyed our cruise. I would go again, specially after it gets remodeled with water sides. I wish Royal would get BETTER BEDS, they were really hard, way too firm, i know some people prefer them, but this is not the happy medium...

We've had priority, so it was easy to get on, took about 15 min :-)

Food and Dining

We spent first dinner at the MDR, too formal for us - traveling with child, we spent rest of our dining primary at the Windjammer, food selection was great and staff was always excellent!

Service and Staff

Wait staff, sports staff all 5 stars. Our cabin attendant was not friendly, didn't remember our name, didn't get service on last night - he showed up at 8pm, he saw us going to dinner and knows i was traveling with a child. Getting suite amenities L'Occitane was like pulling teeth. They were not there at check in, asked for set, got them at night, didn't get replacement until u left empty bottles in sink... Weird, but i overlooked it.

9232 JS Great size, clean, but the BED IS HARD AS ROCK even if its 'luxury pillow top in a suite'. If you are side sleeper, you won't sleep comfortably. I will have to bring topper for next cruise.
i'm comparing to Half-moon cay which is much better, water nicer color, more beach... Labadee has rocky, small beaches. It was also hard to communicate with the wait staff, their accent is too thick.
I have told a cabin attendant on carnival not to come back to our room again on the 3rd night of a 7 night cruise. Worked well to get the head guys attention.
Best advice is to get to know your cabin attendant ASAP and give him/her a note of your preferences. Remember it's a two way relationship - did you use his name regularly?
I can't believe you didn't like MDR. That's where the best food is. And I love being waited on and how elegant it is. We even eat breakfast there. And you don't have to dress formal.
If the bed is hard, you just ask the cabin attendant to put a topper or comforter pad on it. No biggy, weve had to do that on 1/2 of our cruises. If your cabin attendant doesnt fill your needs, call guest services and ask to speak to a manager... and it will be resolved. But weve never had an issue on a RC cruise.
