Review summary

GREAT Ship!!! First time on Oasis class. 5400 passengers and never had to fight for a chair, or felt crowded walking around. Central Park area was a great getaway! Looking forward to booking on newer Oasis class.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was good, but I think there was a small room for improvement. We were spoiled on our last RC cruise where ALL of our meals (Main Dining Room & Specialty) were AWESOME!)

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
This was our first time on Oasis class ... with a sold out ship, we never felt cramped. On our last cruises, the 16+ areas seemed liked they were overrun with teenagers ... Solarium on this ship was PERFECT for an 16+ area only.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All the shows (Momma Mia, Comedy, Promenade Deck shows) were great! We did the headliner comedy show on the last day, and we are still laughing!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Had a couple of issues on the first day (room setup, etc) and the staff fixed it with lighting speed! Main Room dining staff (Kemica/Edgar ... the best!)

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I know this was the first of the Oasis class ships, and it already seemed a little dated in some areas ... but overall CLEAN and we kept telling ourselves how it didn't feel like you were on a ship (Central Park, Boardwalk, water shows, etc!) Great design RRC!

Cabin / Stateroom

This was our first SKY class room, and the room was AWESOME! We laughed that we had way more storage than the luggage we brought with us!! :) If I had to do it over again, I think I would have liked a room a little higher up (deck 10 or 11 - split the difference between Promenade [Deck 5] and Pool Decks [Deck 16] where we spent most of our time) - but overall, liked our location.

Ports of call

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Easy off, Easy on!! Everything is right there, and you're in port just long enough. This was our first time to do the Private Cabana, and would recommend it to EVERYONE! ... we didn't realize that you have a floating bar right in front of you, as well a bartender that keeps you 'hydrated' all day. Side benefit is that RRC sets up a food station for lunch right next to your area. As soon as you setup in the morning .. no need to go anywhere else until it's time to leave!

Falmouth, Jamaica

5 out of 5
We've been to Jamaica before, but this was our first time to the Chukka Site (Zipline & Tubbing adventure). What they don't tell you on the info, is that you is that it's a resort with Pool, waterfall, water slide as well ... all included in your package. It was only 20 minutes from port, and after we got there, it was a total one stop playground!

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Typical tourist port when you get off ... be ready to be cattle herded through the shops, just to catch a cab!! We did our own excursion (not on RRC website - shoreexcursioneer.com), and it was the BEST. Margaritaville, Bubba Gumps, and Senor Frogs at the end of the pier right before the ship let us have a change in food before going back on board for one more sea day.

SKY class is the only way! Hand walk you off the boat and straight to a SKY class only customs line!
