Review summary
My family of 12 enjoyed the cruise ship, the staff, and the entertainment thoroughly. We also found the process on and off the boat very easy considering 6000+ people were moving... However, the stops were not the normal "impressive" places we have seen before. Roatan was very poor and the tour guide and everyone you met reinforced their poor state. Frankly, we could see the poverty and we were willing to buy stuff and tip but it was really too much and became an uncomfortable place. Costa Maya was a Cruise line made shopping place with a pool and dolphin marina not much there. We thought Cozumel was a good blend. You had the "cruise shopping" but outside their gates was civilization. You felt as if you were truly visiting Mexico and could venture out to see the real place and people were very nice. Moral of the story is do this cruise for the cruise ship and the fun experience there... not the stops.Embarkation
