Review summary

The cruise from hell, thanks to a bad propeller limiting where we could go and two terrible ports. So much pressure to buy stuff. Ship is beautiful, but at up to 6000 guests, probably as big as ships should get.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was good. Avoid the strip steak. But the omnipresence of bars was overbearing. We counted about 40 bars on board. There is a nice English pub, but it's just another bar, no food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Good comedy shows and Mama Mia was very good. The Jazz salon on deck 4 was very good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Great staff. Always friendly.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
Poor and dirty and nothing really to do there.

Cozumel, Mexico

2 out of 5
To do much of anything, you must ferry to the mainland then go to the activity. It's a journey.

Disembarkation

Really like carrying your own bags off. Could keep your bags until the departure morning instead of leaving them out the night before.

It's all perspective and how you make it.

Honestly I don't care what ship you're on, what company you went with or what ports you stopped at, the ONLY WAY a cruise can be from hell would be if the ship actually sunk and you had to evacuate into the life boats.

Don’t understand a cruise from hell but 4 star must not been that bad and for the propeller problem meant slower speed will be fixed soon every island is trying to sell you something just say no and go on we had a great time on this ship and going back for the third time in May can’t wait

Usually, people leave one star reviews for cruises from hell. Must have not been too bad.

It's scheduled for dry dock soon to fix that propeller. I was on the Allure in January. It was wonderful and they treated me like royalty. Ports are generally what you make them. Look at the big picture and consider that the pressure might just be desperation. I try to buy something in most every port. I love the big ships and the promenades like streets. Was this your first cruise? It's a ship, after all.

Forget the propellers so a minute. You did not like the cruise, you did not like the ports. Why did you book this cruise?

Just sounds like this person isn't the cruise type. BTW AotS goes to dry did in January for updates and the azipod repair (for the 3rd time).

You would think, but Symphony of the Seas will have room for about 700-800 more guests!

Cruise from hell and you still gave it 4 stars ? Did you book the cruise yourself? Cause you're complaining about the amount of guests on board. Basic info when booking a cruise. As for the propeller problem. Unfortunately, it can happen and with the size of the ship, it cannot dock at all ports.
