Review summary

This was a grandma's dream. Our two daughters, their husbands and our 4 grandchildren had the most wonderful time. EVERY ONE of us had the best time ever. Not enough adjectives to express our delight with this perfect week. Royal Caribbean ROCKS!

Embarkation

Considering all the people boarding the ship, it was remarkable. One suggestion - benches for us older people to use while waiting in line.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Don't know how it could have been any better. Yummy, plentiful, fresh! Pizza bar was phenomenal! One suggestion: add a wing bar!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Grandkids were thrilled with the activities and I was thrilled to sit and watch and video the action! The rock wall was a huge hit with all 4 of our grandchildren. The littlest thrill=seeker, who is 8 was disappointed that she was too small for the zip line and Flo-rider. (she is insisting on another cruise after she has grown 3 inches!) And they were a tad disappointed that there were no big water slides, not there wasn't enough to keep them busy.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Stage shows were top notch. Singers -awesome, skaters - amazing, comedians (family night) were Very good (kids loved the "Ralphie" joke). The diving show was absolutely amazing!!! (Loved the belly flop contest too, but the "old" guy should have won)

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Super friendly, they do an excellent job. The room was always very clean. Our waiters were gracious, entertaining, very accurate in service, and Frank, our headwaiter was a "hoot"! The kids loved him!

Ship Quality

Perfection, very clean, loved that there were lots of restrooms scattered about. Elevators were great and much appreciated. The card room near our cabin was wonderful and well used by all of us.

Cabin / Stateroom

Bed was extremely comfortable. Despite being right over the boardwalk, the noise was amazingly muffled and we slept like a baby. Our granddaughter, immediately upon getting home, got on youtube to find out how to make towel animals! We were also delighted with the way our 15 yr. old granddaughter's birthday was made so special from the room decorations to the cake and singing at dinner. (with no prompting from us). Great job all around.

Ship tip

DO IT!! DO IT!!! DO IT!!! As much as we loved it, I didn't see one non-smiling face on board! Seems like everyone was having a great time! And St. Kitts was our favorite stop. Appreciated how the captain found all the calm water too ..... ;)

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We boarded here. Port was easy to find, easy to unload, and very organized. On our return, we googled some places to visit as we had several hours till our kids flight. We went to Extreme Sport warehouse that was fabulous. 20,000 sq ft warehouse filled with games, rock wall, go karts, trampolines and about anything else the kids could want.

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Been there - done that

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

The beach was beautiful. Probably could have done more with our time on shore.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Beautiful island! We took a tour and had a blast. Very informative and fun. Took WAY to many pictures that we will cherish and bore our friends with. The locals are wonderful and friendly. Would not hesitate to visit again. Liked this SO much more than Nassau. Our personal favorite.

Disembarkation

Very efficient, but once again, very difficult for us "older" folks. I'm not ready for a wheelchair, but would have appreciated a few benches along the very long walk to the terminal. Expected the lines with 5,000 leaving the ship, so no complaints there. Everyone was helpful, friendly and informative, just needed somewhere to sit!
