Review summary

There are so many things we loved about the Allure of the Seas. The food was delicious, wait staff were top-notch, love the top-shelf alcohol and cleanliness of the ship. There is amazing "attention to detail" every where you look!! The only thing I would change is theย little extra fees while on board. For example, "Bingo" card fee ($15 per card) - I found this a little unnecessary. We met some great people on board too. We would highly recommend this ship and cruiseline to anyone!!!

No you're good, RCL never cares about weight just our flight ๐Ÿ˜‚

Davonas1    8 years ago

I hear ya...We will be on the cruise for Halloween this year so we have a costume & I luv heels so my packing is crazy LOL. We are driving to Ft. LAUDERDALE so we don't have to watch the weight do we?

ghiagal    8 years ago

I'm the worst with packing! 10 cruises and I know everyone says don't over pack. But trust my there are four pairs of heels, three flip flops, 14 bikinis, two formal dresses ๐Ÿ˜‚ if it fits it two under 50 pound suitcases I'm happy. But we also have Halloween costume and prohibition patty costume

Oh, that I didn't know...well that's that then & I'm going to just buy a package for each of us. I'm really not trying to do nothing wrong on vacation. Thanks for sharing your experience with me but one more thing...the packing I'm lost on that

ghiagal    8 years ago

It's on your sea pass, and yes technically you can do that. However, you sign an agreement that states there is absolutely no sharing . If the figure out you are sharing and others have had it happen, they will cancel the package and you will not be refunded the remaining days paid for

ghiagal...that's what I was thinking so I guess you answered my question LOL I'm going to get a drink package. Do they really pay attention to a person's getting drinks? I really don't want to purchase two packages for 350 each. My cousin just went and she said that they didn't have to each buy a drink package because when her husband got one drink he took it to her and went back and got him a drink so they wasted 350. Any suggestions on that?

I'm not a big shopper, we always take $200 per port- for shopping and food/taxis. Rarely ever use half of it. On board, last trip we prepaid gratuities and drink packages. We had $250 on board credit, so I did a little shopping, went to a specialty restaurant and bought a photo package. Used the rest up in extra tips at the end

I don't drink a lot when we are home, but yeah it's vacation and for some reason those mimosas at brunch on sea day are way better ๐Ÿ˜‚ and then there's drinks by the pool, I meet him at the champagne bar before dinner (heads down while I get ready) have a pre dinner drink, or a drink or two at dinner or the shows or in the hot tub at 2am ๐Ÿ˜‚

If anyone don't mind telling...how much money did you take? I already added a credit card when I did the early check in, but I have been told to take money along with smalls bills for when we get off the ship...

We already booked our shows & we were thinking about doing one beverage package. We really don't drink a lot but we do drink a lot if water, but I know this is vacation so we might drink a little more LOL.

If you are drinkers, meaning you will have more than 4 drinks a day - consider one of the Drink packages. Even if one party in the cabin drinks and the rest don't it might be a good option as on RCL not everyone has to buy it in the cabin. But it's vacation and trying some of the hew drinks is fun - getting a huge bill at the end is not fun.

Infinity hot tubs. Try the beef on weck at Park Cafe.

Davonas- book your shows now if you haven't! If you want to try a specialty restaurant while on the Samba is fun. Get on early and explore the ship while waiting for your room. It will help you get your bearings the first day. Take highlighters! The cruise planner for each day is like 10 pages- highlight what you want to check out. The next day. Stroll Central Park in the evening. Find the

My husband and I are going on Allure of the Seas Oct 30 - Nov 6 & we can't wait. We're going with a group of 20 other people and I have heard more positive things about this ship than negative. This is our first cruise...Any tips

Agree with mg. you have to make your own vacation. Some comments are totally opposite of another, and you can't please everyone. Enjoy!!

Sadly the bingo fee is pretty standard on all lines - we paid the same on Carnival in March
