Review summary

What a wonderful way to enjoy the pleasures of eating good food, drinking wonderful wines and enjoying the pleasures of seeing various new countries.  The cruise line (Allure of the Seas) is truly a marvel with so much to do onboard that 7 days doesn't do justice.

Chandra our main dining room waiter and Veldeen our main dining room assistant waiter became part of our family. By the second sitting they knew exactly what our preferences were and made sure that we were happy and excited.

We were on the ship in April and it was a massive ship, 7 days was not enough to explore. Glad you had an enjoyable cruise, and welcome to the obsession :) we are going on the oasis in September!

For a new cruiser, your first cruise(?), you had an excellent approach by planning what you wanted to do on-board in advance. Did you have a travel agent or someone providing good advice? I believe this preparation adds to the enjoyment for new cruisers or for anyone boarding a different size ship or a different cruise line.

We post itinerary, booking id, etc. on our smartphone calendars along with the list of places, some off the beaten track, we want to get to on the ship early, before it gets more crowded, and before the elevators are so busy on embarkation day. We also find our muster station well in advance of the drill so we can get a comfortable spot with libation that will last until the drill starts:-)
