Don't plan on trying the line again any time soon. I know people that love it but just didn't suit us. We were bored 80^ of the time. We have sailed with 6 different companies and this experience is at the bottom of the list.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
It started late because of Coast Guard certifications but it moved pretty well for how long the line eas
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
None of the food was great. You won't starve but don't expect a great culinary experience
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
There was stuff to do but most was over quickly and not enough variety
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Shows were lack luster. Comedians not funny, one was down right distasteful. Of the onboard musicians ii heard only enjoyed one.
Children's Programs
Didn't have kids with me but did ask other people and I heard mixed reviews
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
All the staff that worked with us was great
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Everything was clean and in working order
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Decent size for 2. Shower closure is awkward especially if you suffer from claustrophobic. Ask for extra towels so you can just keep it open
I've only been on five different lines but I'd probably say that I do boring things 80% of the time on all cruise ships. Maybe you should try rock climbing because that'll give you a better rush
Well AOS is a good ship to start with it ain't perfect but neither that bad, you want a great experience of Royal board the newest ship and more modern.. that being said you can't try Carnival for fun, Norwegian for a little upscale or Virgin Voyages for adult experience, and not forget Celebrity Cruise for more upscale experience
Adventure is a fantastic ship with great entertainment and service. This individual has never cruised before and is making irrational comments. If they have cruised before, I would recommend Carnival. That is more of their speed.
Thanks for sharing! I can't agree with you more. I've been on nine cruises, and this one was my worst. Staff was some of the best we encountered. But the comedian was horrible, food wasn't bad but not the best and we were so bored. The shows were not good either. The ship was very nice though. But a bad cruise is better than a good week at work I guess! 🙂
