Never again! Rocking was horrible. Nickel and dimed for everything. A lot of hiddend costs.

Review summary

It didn't feel like a vacation. Cruise lines own all the shops you see when you get off the boat / charge vendors to provide services. Everything is cheaper in Mexico, unless a cruise line takes you. Charge you for drinks, $20.00 per day for parking. You will feel the swaying of the boat.

about what you would expect on a cruise ship.

I will be cruising alone next month and pity your "woe is me" attitude. I am celebrating my 72nd birthday on this cruise and it was my gift to myself. I read every document provided and everything you found fault with was addressed; you clearly did not read or research. I don't care if the ship rocks, it's an experience; I don't care if vendors charge exorbitant prices, I make choices and have consequences. A positive attitude goes a very long way.

I see this was your first cruise. At booking time it will show price of cruise and gratuities per day that are charged. Also for children you can limit the amount they spend on their sail card. Plus crew members at customer service or guest service desk can easily answer any questions before things get out of hand. Maybe you will give cruising another chance someday. They are great vacations when you know what to expect.

All the things you listed are typical on any cruise line. Read the fine print on your cruise booking statement in regard to gratuity charges.

Cruising may not be for you

Many decent hotels in large cities charge more than $20/day for parking, even in their own lots. A good alternative for onsite port parking are offsite parking lots, such as Lighthouse or Discount Cruise Parking. I was on the same cruise but did some online searching beforehand , and our cruise parking, with Discount Cruise Parking, came to $61.70 for the entire cruise. I’m wondering if this was your first cruise?

thanks for your review do yourself a favor and read before buy anything there’s no excuse on this new world of instant reviews and information

Why did you not expect gratuities? All cruise lines clearly state how much these are.

Yup another case of doing zero research then complaining. Pre pay your gratuities and the daily charge doesn’t happen. If you used a TA you need a new one. If you didn’t then nobody but you to blame for not doing the research. Cruislines do not own the shops at ports.

Seems a lack of research, maybe TA did not inform you. Typically all lines are smart. Oops sorry 😞 thanks

Sounds like more research should’ve been done ahead of time and that cruising is probably not for you. The daily gratuities charge is listed on the website and in the contract that everyone agrees to when purchasing a cruise. Very easy to limit children spending in the arcade by not giving them a room card or cash to spend in the arcade.
