Adventure of the Seas

Review summary

We did a back-to-back on this ship and the experience was average at best. The ship is old and the crew was very supportive but really limited in what they could do. Like most RCCL ships something has to be figured out with what to do with the Pinnacle customers. They should their own dedicated space on a full-time basis.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Terminal crew could not tell us if water is allowed to be brought on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The only chicken served was the leg, the Chef's Table experience was horrible. They had slow service but the waiter staff tried to compensate for the kitchen staff which underperformed

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Veteran recognition was well done. The trivia was great.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Outstanding shows and performances.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Voom was spotty, bar staff on pool decks tend to give more ice than drinks and on occasion could be very rude.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship had rust and paint drops all over the deck. The Oder in the hallway was always there. The elevator had issues. The coffee machine in the diamond club stopped working (although they did have a great fix for the coffee problem by sending us to the beverage stand on the promenade).

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Was clean but old carpet and rust on the balcony railing.

Ship tip

Older ship with horrible balconies, try to find another ship even in this class.

Ports of call

When I went, the Diamond and Pinnacle members always had their own reserved club.

Amen to that Bert !

Ha, I'm not gonna be as blunt as Bert; but Pinnacle does have a reserved area on the deck and their own club. These ships are not supposed to be separated by class. Might be time to move to a premium line

Well sorry to hear mingling with the riff-Raff is below your pinnacle club standards. Perhaps you should buy a private yacht. I find it hard to believe anyone would post something so arrogant. I’m glad I wasn’t a fellow guest as I’m sure you were a total pain in the ass for the poor crew (or should I say servants?)
