This was a long awaited birthday cruise. Everything was good and some things excellent (Aruba!) Have not hesitation to recommend this itinerary!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was so easy! We were on the ship within minutes of arriving at the terminal! Very efficient staff & crew.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We did not buy the beverage package - too expensive for the amount of soda and nada drinks we would have gotten. The Windjammer was understaffed and the food was often slow to be refilled. The dining room food was good but not the best. However the wait staff were awesome!
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed meeting the event staff and all the different games and activities available. The ship was full so seating could be limited if you did not arrive early for any activity. However, the main events were held in the larger venues that helped with seating capacity.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Unfortunately we were on the Liberty of the Seas earlier in the year and that entertainment was fantastic. The Adventure's entertainment left us wanting although the hypnotist was the most entertaining and funny without being to crude.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was great - always helpful and smiling. There was a Find the Nation that started the second day and ended the last sea day where you found out who was from each county represented by staff on board. Not once did any staff member act offended or put out with signing the sheet. EVERYONE was helpful and this event was the best in my opinion!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The Adventure of the Seas is beginning to show her wear and some carpeting was very worn. Overall the cleanliness was above par, the ship is just old and showing her age.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Promenade cabin overlooking the Promenade are great! Roomy with a great view. Some asked about noise late at night - music stops about 10:30 or so and it is very muted. Never bothered us and our room steward was FANTASTIC. Made a towel cake for my birthday - never had that happen before!
Ship tip
Arrive early to get the seat you want. Expect the line to move slow in the buffet (Windjammer) but eventually the food will be refreshed.
Port Everglades is nice and convenient. However do not use HERMES shuttles - waited nearly 2 hours - (about 30 of us) and kept getting the runaround from the Quality Inn that booked for everyone.
I was on Aruba on my birthday and that alone made it awesome but the island is beautiful and photos do not do it justice. The Eagle Beach (2nd best on Aruba and 3rd best in the world!) was fantastic. Wisi was still there!
Glad you enjoyed it. We were on the same ship and itinerary last month and loved it. I’ve seen a few negative reviews about the ship and the ABC islands. I can’t imagine not enjoying that cruise at some seem to find a way to
