I loved the ABC Islands. All ports were very nice. The two sea days at the beginning and end of the cruise are a lot. There was not a lot of interesting activities onboard during the sea days, so we were bored at times.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
The person checking us in was in training and misspelled my daughter's name and then questioned why her name was different on her passport.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food at the Windjammer was good. The main dining room dinner menu was lacking and as great as it has been in the past.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Solarium was great. Mini golf was cool, but crowded at times. You could still smell the smoke in the nonsmoking part of the casino.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
No exciting production shows at all. After the first three shows, we stopped going. 70s party was fun. The silent disco was okay and held in the Promenade and not the club as it has been in the past.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Mostly great service and courteous staff. There was one afternoon where three servers passed by us and didn't clear the plates at the end of the table nor asked to refill our drinks.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was nice and clean, but needed updating and there were spots on the carpet.
Ship tip
Bring a sweater as it gets very cold in the Lyric Theater, Imperial Palace, our course Studio B.
Our call time was 8:15am, but we didn't get off the ship until 9:00am. We waited 40 minutes in the terminal to get our luggage. We have never waited that long to get our luggage. Usually, after disembarking we would go right to our luggage. This was tiring and a little frustrating. Once we got our luggage it was easy going through customs.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Hopefully, going forward you will choose cruises that better suit your needs for entertainment, port days and activities. Like many others, I am one that likes to chill on vacation, but I understand that some people prefer a busier and exciting time onboard. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts with us.
I continue to be shocked when people say there is nothing to do or they are bored. There is always something going on. We also have never had bad food. These ships (mostly) aren’t brand new, not a shock. Done people don’t get to experience a vacation. It is what you make it.
Glad you enjoyed it. We were on the AoS on the same itinerary last month and loved it. As far as sea days, we tend to enjoy relaxing on deck, reading a good book doing a crossword puzzle or taking a nap. It seems many have forgotten, or maybe never learned, the joy of just relaxing and doing nothing. As far as departure, we always do self-debarkation and take our own luggage. We left our cabin at 6:30 and were at the airport at 7:00.
