Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Loved all the food in the main dining room. Ate dinner there every night. Wanted to take Raven and Laxman home with us. Perfect waiters who knew what we liked and made sure we had everything we needed. Windjammer was excellent for breakfast and lunch too. Wide variety of fresh foods.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the solarium adults only pool and 2 hot tubs.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was good, not as exciting as on the bigger ships, but fun and a great variety of acts.

Children's Programs

No kids for us, but there were plenty of kids on the ship and they all looked like they were having a great time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone working on the ship was helpful and friendly. Room attendant Ingrid kept out cabin sparkling clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Loved this cabin beyond words. Spacious and plenty of storage. We spent more time than usual in the room because of the size and the large window.

Ship tip

Prepare to have a really fun time. This ship is the best.

Ports of call

Went to New York City the day before the cruise and the day after. Plan to spend more time here.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Great activities just walking from the port. Ate lobster at Route 66. Great food. Fun shopping right near the port. I got lobster earrings at a lovely jewelry store and we bought Bar Harbor shirts at a store along the Maine street.

Saint John, New Brunswick

Did our own walking tour right off the ship.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Went to the maritime museum. Liked the Titanic display. Museum was reasonably priced. It was a mile walk from the ship.

Disembarkation

Great disembarkation. Got off and got our bags in an easily marked room. Customs was a breeze with face recognition.

My very first cruise was on Adventure of the Seas back in 2004.

Agree with everything about the ship. It's the perfect size: a megaship without feeling like a megaship.
