Review summary

This cruise was my best birthday present ever! My husband and I, along with our three children and their significant others, had a fantastic time! It was perfect that I did not need to cook, clean or plan anything! We appreciated the value - rooms, food, shows and activities all in one place. Even though the eight of us have a variety of tastes, we were all pleased with the outstanding selection of food, shows, activities and venues - something for everyone!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Went very smoothly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants. It was not necessary. All of 8 of us were able to find great food in the complimentary restaurants! The fruit was exceptional!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Some members of our family did the rock-climbing wall, some did the FloRider, some played ping pong and some went down the water slide. We all got in the hot tub. Some enjoyed the video arcade. The variety of activities was appreciated since all eight of us have different tastes in activities!

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the comedian the first night and went to hear him the second day but he showed a video instead of talking. All performers were enjoyable.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All service and staff gave us excellent service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I was impressed with the design and cleanliness of the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I was pleased with our cabin, particularly the balcony.

Ship tip

Take advantage of all that is offered! Explore the ship! It's beautiful but time flies by on the cruise!

Ports of call

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

3 out of 5
We only parked there. We did enjoy seeing the Statue of Liberty at the beginning and end of the cruise.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park is our favorite place to visit! Breathtakingly gorgeous! We did not participate in an excursion. We walked to Village Green and then took the Island Explorer to various points in Acadia.

Saint John, New Brunswick

3 out of 5
There was not much to do there. Some of us got a cab to Reversing Falls. Some of us went to the museum. We did not do an excursion.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
We enjoyed the Titanic displays at the Museum and the Citadel. We did not do an excursion.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was pleasantly quick and easy. We chose to self assist and were off the ship and on our way home in no time!
