Review summary

It was an excellent cruise overall. The excursions we chose were excellent. The food was good, especially at the two specialty restaurants (i.e. Chops, Giovanni's). Service was great. We would go on this cruise again.

5 out of 5
Excellent food and service!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Enjoyed the pools and slides with my son. I had a private lesson on the Flow-Rider and enjoyed it immensely.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Excellent entertainment. We especially enjoyed the family oriented comedian and hypnotist.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My 9 year old son always enjoys the kid's club. He especially liked the fact that he is old enough now to sign himself in and out of the club.

Love the design and the ship is well maintained.

Ship tip

When trying to purchase pictures, especially on the last night of the cruise, it is always chaotic. There is no order. People tend to crowd the assistants. There should be a better way to deal with this issue, including having people take a number when they arrive at the studio. The next available attendant could call the next number. Also, put more kiosks in around the ship where people can select and purchase pictures, and allow the passengers to have the option to actually purchase the pictures without having to go back to the studio to pick up and pay. Currently, you reserve the pictures but still have to go back and wait in line to purchase. Have both as an option, but allow direct purchase with delivery (when ready) of the pictures directly to the cabin.

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5
I have worked in PR many times and I always enjoy San Juan. My family stayed 3 days in the Ritz-Carlton, San Juan prior to boarding. No excursion was necessary.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

5 out of 5
Small but beautiful. My wife and I had a certified dive excursion. "Buddy Dive" was excellent. We will also investigate going back to Bonaire and Buddy Dive's resort. I recommend this excursion for certified divers.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Willemstad was beautiful and clean. A little bit of the Netherlands in the Caribbean. My family purchased the speed boat and snorkeling excursion. It was excellent. Friendly crew and quite fun! I recommend this excursion.

Oranjestad, Aruba

5 out of 5
Enjoyed Oranjestad very much. My family picked the snorkeling adventure with Mi Dushi. Again, we had an excellent time and the lunch they provided was great! I recommend this excursion.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
Philipsburg was OK. This was the only port (St. Maarten) where vendors on the street were much more aggressive trying to have you buy stuff. We still enjoyed the town and had a drink at a bar on the beach. It had beautiful views of the beach areas and our ship. We also did the afternoon excursion and beach break to the French side of the island. This was also an excellent excursion. We saw some of the Dutch and French influences on the island. We went to a beautiful beach and had rum punch drinks. I recommend this excursion.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Good, fast and painless.

Always a positive endorsement when you would repeat the same cruise. Hopefully you would enhance your return visit with a tweak or two of improvements.
