Review summary

We had the rest we wanted, enjoyed great meals, saw beautiful islands a great vacation. Next time I will book directly with the cruise line, and book the excursions with cruise line directly. The Marriott points were not worth the frustration in finding the tours ourselves on the docks.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
On previous cruises, when booking a suite, there was an expedited process, a special lane just for suite guests. Plus when we were issued our ID's there was a lounge area. There was none of that. But since were were there at 12:30PM there was not much of a line, we were thru rather quickly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room dinners were very nice, just long lines every night even with reservations. Specialty dinners were fun, Chef's table and the Murder Mystery were a great change. All the beverage venues were fin, it was just funny to see that from bar to bar the drink pricing was different. We spent most of our cocktail time in the concierge lounge where the service was fabulous and the other guests were a joy to speak to.

Onboard Activities

The mini golf was very interesting, especially being on two levels. Did not surf or climb rocks. Attended the art auctions, and played bingo. What ever happened to a dollar a card bingo? Minimum buy in $49.00

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Did not enjoy the shows

Children's Programs

no children with us

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Many many great people. Joselito, our cabin attendant were outstanding. Stan and Howard in the concierge lounge were hospitable, attentive and gracious. Freddy and Marlon at Giovanni's breakfast every morning were great and Amy and Linling at the main dining room were always pleasant and accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Modern, opulent and immaculate

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
plenty of room to relax, and a lot of closet space. Perfectly located between elevator banks

Ports of call

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Had been to San Juan many times before but stayed one night prior to embarkation.

Kralendijk, Bonaire

Enjoyed the information given and the sights we saw. We were unsure if our old bus was going to make it, but we made it back

Willemstad, Curacao

Same old shopping, jewelry, duty free shopping and the same old local gifts. Took along time to find our tour as the name we had was not the name on the tour company and was not located where we were told, but we accidentally found it and was the sites.

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
Again had visited this island before so just go off to stretch our legs and see the same chain stores

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

4 out of 5
Very interesting Island. Saw some beautiful vistas, and got some history. We booked "Da party Bus" not much of a party 7 people. Again was hard to find the location to meet, directions were wrong and they showed up 20 minuites late.

Disembarkation
