Review summary

The best part of the cruise was the staff onboard. This goes from the room attendant, Owen to the dining room staff, Junior, Lena, Gerald, Dewa as well as the maitre'd Anthony and Devan, also included are the sport activity staff, i.e. Jade, Joao, Callum, Ali and Angeline.

The staff are always there to serve and will do anything to make the trip more enjoyable. This is particularly true for the dining staff, especially Gerald who was very helpful in recommending dinner items as well as  bringing an alternative meal. Anthony surprised us one night with a great chicken tikka masala because we mentioned that we enjoyed the Indian dinner at the windjammer  - incredible.

As for the sports staff that has to deal with the Flowrider. They were the best. Rain or shine they are there patiently coaching the passengers. The three that stood out the most for me were Joao, Angeline and Callum who took time to coach me through the stand up surf and also the boogie board. Had a great blast on that!!! Best entertainment so far.

The other entertainment was okay. However a few of the events that was hosted by Connie, were pretty good since she made most of the experience fun. This included Trivia to dances. I am surprised that the night club experience is lacking this time compared to when I was on the Mariner of the Sea a few years back where there were multiple dance area. This time, it seemed that only the Moon bar was the only place to dance.

Another experience that made is all worth while was the chef's table. There was some error in the handling of our dining for two and the ship crew accidentally booked us on the Chef's Table for the last night. It was a good experience but way too much alcohol which I could hardly even consume half of it. But the quality of the food and the pairing of the wine was just exquisite. Also the table attendant and the chef took time to explain what we were eating which made for a wonderful experience.

Generally great experience on the ship. General buffet (windjammer) food was slightly below par but for an everyday lunch meal it was okay. However it could be enhanced by better dessert selection since most of the desserts were mousse based.

Will definitely be coming back. Once again a shout out to all the staff members on the Adventure of the Seas - we will be back!

Can't get any better. Room attendant Owen was charming and helpful in getting our bags and meeting our needs Dining staff - Gerald, Dewa, Anthony and Devan were very gracious hosts at the dining room. Went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. Sports and entertainment crew - Joao, Jade, Angeline, Ali and Callum made my time on the flow rider an awesome experience. Connie was great as host in different events. Negative - excursion manager - extremely rude. On Antigua we booked an external excursion. However since the company had the same name of Shore&Excursion we approached the excursion manager on land and was told rudely that we should not be here since it is with the locals. Not cool! WIsh I had gotten her name

Great size room - love the balcony

Ship tip

Go to the flow rider during the morning sessions - generally quieter and the lines are shorter. Good time to learn during that time.

Very hilly country/island. Make sure if you get car sick - bring along some car sickness pills. THe snorkeling at the Soufriere is lovely and the mud bath is also devine. Make sure you wear minimally since your clothes that is in the mud bath will smell of sulfur for a while.
