Review summary

Our first hour on the cruise our toilet overflowed and every time a neighboring cabin flushed, our toilet over flowed even more. Our bathroom was flooded and the room smelled like a port-o-potty! We asked guest services to move our room, but were told the ship was at capacity. (Later met a couple who had been upgraded during the cruise). All of our towels had been used to stop the water from coming into the bedroom area of the cabin. When we returned, the water was gone, the toilet worked, the room still stunk, and we had no towels. I went up to guest services again to ask for a different room, the man behind the desk said all he could do was give us a free drink at the bar!!!! I don't even drink!!!!! We asked for more towels, he said he would have house keeping bring them down, they never came. I made three calls to our steward and two more to guest services. The steward never answered his line and guest services said they would send them. Again, never got new towels until the next afternoon when our room was routinely cleaned. I was furious and no one was willing to even bring a towel. My husband showered without having a towel to dry off with! Not at all the vacation we were looking forward to. 

On the bright side, our waiter Manuel Pereira and his assistant Jayanath were amazing. They were attentive, friendly, made great suggestions, and made us feel welcomed. Even when we would see them in other dining of the ship, they made a point to walk over and talk. It is evident these two men work hard, make their guests feel like friends, and do whatever they need to do to make people happy. They should be put behind the desk at Guest Services instead of the inconsiderate people behind their now.

This rating is because... Guest services was awful. But Manuel and Jayanath in the Mozart were FABULOUS!!!!! They give the customer service, guest services should be giving. These two men made my trip SO much better!

I was in Cabin 2598. Guest services offered my husband and I one free drink at the bar. Nothing else. As far as going to the pool to get towels, it's not my responsibility to go up to the pool to get towels. We paid for a cruise, they needed to do their job.

You can always go to the pool and get 4 towels there (2 on each sea pass card)
