Fabulous Short Getaway by Cruiser801

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Amsterdam / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

Our San Diego to Vancouver repositioning cruise, with stops in San Francisco and Victoria, B.C. was a perfect breath of fresh air. Everything was wonderful, as Holland America almost always is. The Amsterdam is a beautiful ship with lovely staff and crew. The food was amazing and the entertainment enjoyable. This trip may become a tradition.

Nice boat by crhoop

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Explorer of the Seas / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

First time with Royal. The boat was great new and clean. Ports were low-key but for a four day getaway that's all you really want so it was relaxing.  Service with the exception of a few was good not great.  Food was okay but not great.  Not a bad experience I think we've just been spoiled on other trips.

WORST CRUISE EVER by BGates

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Explorer of the Seas / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

I took my disabled cousin and I on this 4 day cruise for our 50th Birthdays. This was my first cruise with Royal Caribbean.  First the food in the buffet was a joke. Salad bar with no lettuce (we requested from 6 different food servers and no one seemed to understand us when we asked for lettuce.  Finally 6th person said no lettuce.  This was pretty much the case through the 4 days.  One day when shopping a table that had some souvenirs the 2 crew members made a smart comment to my cousin and then started laughing and making fun of her "disability".  I was appalled, I wanted to toss them off the boat!!  I complained to management at the customer service desk, nothing was done.  The food lines were long.  No accommodations for people who could not stand up to 30 minutes to be seated at their designated dining time.  I could go on and on, but we have sailed many times with Norwegian, this just confirms why I will never sail with anyone but Norwegian.  Far above the rest!!

Worst ship I've ever been ever been on. by rhj45

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Explorer of the Seas / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

Food was not of great quality. Took over 2 hours to get served and eat. All show and events were at the same time as the meals. Buffet closed at 10 and most activities were over at 11. During the sing a long the person holding the event shut it down around 11 even though everyone was having a great time and the bar was doing a booming business. Best thing about the cruise was the ship stayed afloat!

Best cruise ever.  First time on Celebrity.  Celebrity had all the little things covered and made this cruise outstanding.  I liked the port of calls.

Pacific Coastal Cruise by Shipmates2018

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Infinity / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

The Nortbound (San Diego to Vancouver) Pacific Coastal cruise aboard Celebrity Infinity was wonderful. The itinerary was great. This was my third time on the Infinity and I will book again for sure. We ate at most of the venues available on the ship and all were very good. The staff and food at the Trellis, Luminae and Tuscan Grill were the greatest! Thank you to the Captain and his crew for making this a memorable cruise.

Good but old by theverotto1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

My wife and I spent 4 days on the Coral Princess and it was a great time however we were the youngest couple by about 10 years. It doesn't bother us however the ship seems to be made for a more mature group (retired people) in that shows start earlier and aren't very long, meals are earlier in general, and buffets/food bars close earlier. Besides being aimed toward an older age group everything was excellent, the rooms were very nice and well kept, the service was second to none, and the staff was very friendly and helpful I will defiantly go again!

Disappointing by lnuch5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

We had done a few massages and they were great! Seemed like we didn't have enough time to relax. It seemed like shows were at the same time as another or it was full.  weather was a little too cool so it prohibited us from going in pool.

Loved our Cruise! by dlbrowning1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

So I LOVED  our cruise! I just wish we would have gone for a 7 to 10 day cruise! I LOVED your cruise director team!!!!! We were at each game night that you had at the explores lounge and HAD SO MUCH FUN! I also loved the morning show! The only thing that was a real bummer that we would change next time is getting a assigned time to eat! That to me was the biggest negative on our trip. I would also encourage adding smoothies. I have intestinal problems and so I need yogurt (Probiotics) everyday! Yogurt ice cream would work too. By the end of the week my gut was killing me. I did have yogurt but I needed more! We are planning on finding another cruise soon! I wish that more cruises would start from San Francisco and end in San Francisco because we live close to S.F., we would diffidently cruise more!  Oh one more thing the stewards who cleaned our room were amazing! Our food stewards were just as amazing! Thanks again for so much fun!  The Browning'sLove

Disappointing by Casualcruiser45

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

We did a little one day cruise from Vancouver BC to Seattle WA.  It was supposed to leave at 5 PM.  We were looking froward to viewing the beautiful scenery but for whatever reason we didn't leave until about 7:20 PM.  By then it was getting cold and soon it got dark.  We asked a waiter what was holding us up and he said he thought someone had jumped of the boat at the dock.  We heard no sirens and there was nothing about it on the local news.  I don't buy that explanation.

Soon after we finally left the dock I tried to buy a round of drinks and was told my card would not work and I needed to go to deck 7 and see someone at the service desk.  There I was told that they needed my passport!?!?  I went to my room and retrieved my passport and returned to the desk.  A crew member took it and disappeared into a back room.  When he returned he handed back my passport and said, "Everything is Okay". No explanation was offered.  I demanded an answer and was told, "Sometimes the scan doesn't work". Well I watched the fellow at the check in desk scan it and give me my room number.  All in all a disappointing trip.

Fun for women's trip... by hannahsanchez

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Westerdam / Destination: U.S. - Pacific, Northwest

The 2 night cruise was definitely fun for a women's trip but that's about it. There was not much to do at all on ship. And went to the spa and got double charged and customer service was very hard to work with...

A Wonderful Get Away by pamfeldman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

We enjoyed our 4 night get away.  Most especially the nighttime entertainment.  The one thing I would enjoy more of during the day would be lecturers.  We attended a lecture in the gym area, but I felt all he wanted to do was sell us something.  The servers in the dinning room at night were so attentive and personable.  One more thing, I had a stone massage and it was one of the best messages I have every had.

Princess does a good job by todd2la

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ruby Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

The Ruby is a huge ship, but well laid out with plenty of elevators.  The buffets are large enough that there were never any lines.  I liked the idea that between the dining rooms, the buffet and the "alternative" spots like the pizzeria, International cafe, and the grill, you never had to miss, or wait for a meal.

"Share" the extra cost dining room is gorgeous.  Didn't have time to dine there, but the menu looked interesting.

There are so many pools,  I have never been on a ship with so many pools.  The gym is huge, but on this cruise it always seemed busy when I went there.

Princess has the most comfortable beds in this cruise segment, and much better than than NCL, and Carnival.

I was surprised at the quality of the food.  Princess does focus on desserts and sweets, so if you like them, they are available all day long somewhere.  The pizza is first class.  I don't drink coffee, and it was nice that in room service they dedicate vacuum pots for just hot water, so you don't end up with coffee scented tea.  There were specialty items like blue cheese, smoked salmon, etc available.  Not every day, but they did appear a couple of times.

Finally, the Internet, on this ship, on this trip was the fastest I have EVER experienced on a ship.  It was as fast as my connection at home.  It might slow down when everyone is online, but when I was there, in the Internet office, it was plenty fast.

San Diego To Vancouver by metrembl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Westerdam / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

The cruise director and show hosts, Mario and Jorge, were great. They made silly events and games entertaining, albeit cheesy. The food was very mediocre, even in the dining room. Our favorite meal ending up being the turkey club from room service. For an all-you-can-eat service we were not expecting exceptional quality, but still found it to be a bit below par.

Crown Princess repositioning by Newcastle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

The cruise was really great!  Our cabin had an ideal location, close to things we liked to do.  Staff were all very nice.  We enjoyed the church service/Bible study that was offered several days. Ports were all fun.  Onboard shops were closed the entire last day of the cruise, which was disappointing. Shows, entertainment, and guest lecturer were all great as well.

Our first cruise together... by rockster

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Pearl / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

This was my wife's and I first cruise together, I had sailed before on the NCL Star.

Everything went smooth and relaxing.

The mini suite was great and the ships  crew was very friendly and attentive.

The food at the ships restaurants was great and so was the food at the main dinning buffet. Plenty of choices and everything was fresh.

The Spa was very nice. Shows at the theater were entertaining.

Overall, typical great NCL. service and quality.

ship in terrible condition by Jpscherer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Crown Princess / Destination: Coastal - West Coast

rusty balcony, sink slow drain, unorganized buffet. list goes on.

people who are loyal to Princess complained about condition.

Crew was not engaged with the passenger.  Seemed to do enough to get by.

the dining staff was excellent -personable and went the extra mile to please.

We felt like it was the last cruise for the crew and ready to go home for vacation.

The entertainment was great.
