this was our first cruise on Celebrity. We sailed in the Suite Class. Booked another Celebrity cruise while on board in same class. Can I say more?

Excellent Cruise Ports, Great Service aboard Celebrity Infinity, Aging ship that is showing age with some engine/ mechanical problems by hannam1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Infinity / Destination: South America

Lovely cruise ports, excursions and cruising to an area of the world I had not seen. Ship was nice sized, but aging and showing her age. Ships crew, service, food, & entertainment were excellent. However, Celebrity Cruise Line nickel and dimes you for everything--does not even provide water on excursions as other cruise lines do.

Wonderful trip by dbrausher

Ship: Celebrity Infinity / Destination: South America

Overall, one of the best cruise experiences ever for us (15+ before). Good mixture of nature and cities. Ship and service was excellent. Food in Luminae superb. Most land excursions (all by celebrity) were well executed.

Good as a whole but food was too salty and not much vegetable varieties. by NevilleChang

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Emerald Princess / Destination: South America

Food should be less salty and there should be more vegetable varieties. Vegetables should not be overcooked. Shore excursions should be less expensive

All I expected of the cruise. by jonbfl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Sun / Destination: South America

This cruise aboard the Norwegian Sun was all we expected. The Panama Canal transit was a highlight, sort of a "Bucket List" item. Having never been to South America, we wanted to see as many different countries as possible. Norwegian made that possible on a reasonable budget in a luxurious surrounding

Fantastic South America cruise by Cruiser50389750

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Infinity / Destination: South America

We loverd the beauty of South America! MickeyLive was on board and his Beyond the Podium presentations were so very helpful in identifying things to watch out for on shore (places to go, things to do, wildlife to look for). He also had get togethers at sunrise in the Constellation Room (11 forward) when there were items of interest that he could point out. So much natural beauty and wildlife on this trip! Entertainment wasn’t the best but that was the only thing we were disappointed in.

Excellent Glacier Viewing Cruise by bwozman

Ship: Zaandam / Destination: South America

Excellent Cruise on a smaller cruise ship. Excellent Itinerary. Right amount of Ports versus Cruise Days. Amazing sailing through Strait of Magellan and Beagle Channel with all of its Glaciers. We had a GREAT time!

Excellent Itinerary by rorybailey

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Zaandam / Destination: South America

Great itinerary. Ship was something to be desired to say the least. But we were in it for destinations so took it with a grain of salt. Service was great. Made it out to Cape Horn- that doesn't always happen on this type of itinerary.

Good but not perfect... by mikesale

Ship: Seven Seas Mariner / Destination: South America

Glad we took the cruise but not interested in returning to many places visited. Scheduled to take the ship again on a transatlantic trip from Barcelona. It will be interesting to see what has changed.

Last cruise on Oceania! by jtwhitlaw

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: South America

The tour office on the ship was unpleasant and Juan was particularly difficult. We were scheduled for 8 tours and only went on 4 one of which we paid extra. We lost money on cancelled tours and were under this ship's doctor to miss two others. The ship was under quarantine because of influenza and respiratory sickness. I recommended to the doctor that masks be provided to all passengers. Nothing happened!

Customer Service from and Oceania Awful - Food and Cabin Service Great - No Port Support by bdonato

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sirena / Destination: South America

Called Oceania and I was yelled at. Called and had to deal with incompetence. The agent costs us about $2,000 because she did not know that we could have done our own air and gotten the $1,000 credit. Several other guests had the same issue.

Learned so much about South Ameria!! by buckml67

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Zaandam / Destination: South America

We really enjoyed the cruise, even though the length was longer than any other we have done. The staff were all very responsive, friendly and competent. The food in all the locations was excellent. We like Holland America because it is mostly older people who are often very interesting and not LOUD!!

Exceeded Expectations by casinojeff

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Xpedition / Destination: Galapagos

The Xpedition is a small ship that exceeded our expectations. You will be treated special because you are 1 of only 100 guests. All guests come for one reason, to see The Galapagos and you will see them. After the first day we were so amazed at the island we could have gone home satisfied we saw them. However each day just got better. The wildlife is amazing. On the last day, they offered us a chance to plant small trees to re-forest part of the island which gives you a sense of helping out. Celebrity Expedition was the best cruise we have ever done.

Fun and Relaxing by scolp1951

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Sun / Destination: South America

All of it!  We had a friendly group of six, and we were determined, based on previous trips together, that we would have fun.

The ship was older and smaller than other NCL ships we've been in, but that was okay because we liked the itinerary.  By older, I mean there was definitely a smell that would not go away.  On 2 days during the cruise, there was a strong smell of fuel in our stateroom.  When I opened the balcony door to let fresh air in, the smell got stronger, so I suspect there was some maintenance going on in our section of the ship.  I told the hotel desk about it.  The manager called to apologize but never explained what was causing the problem.  He followed up the phone call with a plate of canapes. By smaller, I like the larger atrium where people can mingle and dance.

It was also my observation that the food was rather salty.  On the night we had dinner at La Cucina, I asked for spaghetti with meatballs.  One bite was all I could handle.  Complained to the server about it.  She asked if I wanted to order something else but I was no longer interested in dinner.  I ordered dessert instead.  I wrote to Igor Futivic, the Food and Beverage Director, to let him know what had happened. Igor met with me so I had a chance to tell him excessive salt wasn't good, and that if they couldn't adjust the salt content on this cruise, do it for future cruises.

Most of the ports we docked at were cargo ports, so we had to be shuttled to town.  I would advise women to take along a supply of tissues and wipes if they need to use public restrooms in most of the towns below the equator.

OK by dlw1938

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Sun / Destination: South America

The entertainment for this cruise was very very good. As Plat.travelers  they did not treat us right. We were suppose to get 2 diners and 2 bottles of wine, we did get 2 diners but only 1 bottle of wine. When we went to 1 place to eat that was approved the first thing we got was a wine list and I THOUGHT IT WAS INCLUDID. But we got a bill for it at the end of cruise. Also because we are Plat. patrons I also thought we would get more dinners and wine but the Capt. said the rules have been changed. We spent about $1100.00 on this Cruise and in the Future WE MAY CRUISE WITH ANOTHER CRUISE LINE. d wARNER

Round the horn cruise by wavynavy1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Sun / Destination: South America

Food etc. all good, including all staff.

Everything I wanted to do apart from free entertainment cost a bloody fortune. $7 for a beer Plus 18% "gratuity"

All excursions could be found less than half NCL prices on the internet.by private  / local operators.

Specialty packages not woth the cost as meals were good in the regular restaurants and buffets.

I left with a nasty taste in my mouth of Rip Off.
