The Xpedition is a small ship that exceeded our expectations. You will be treated special because you are 1 of only 100 guests. All guests come for one reason, to see The Galapagos and you will see them. After the first day we were so amazed at the island we could have gone home satisfied we saw them. However each day just got better. The wildlife is amazing. On the last day, they offered us a chance to plant small trees to re-forest part of the island which gives you a sense of helping out. Celebrity Expedition was the best cruise we have ever done.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was easy and different. Celebrity meets you at the airport. From there you are taken by bus to a small port. At the port you are then taken to the ship on a inflatable Zodiac boat. This becomes your transport to and from the ship throughout the cruise. Upon embarkation you are offered drinks and snacks and then taken to your cabin, (After all excursions, those same drinks and snacks are waiting). There were no long lines just a bus and boat ride.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food and Drink was all inclusive. Breakfast and lunch are buffet style. Dinner is Menu and Waiter Service. The food on the menu was very good. My wife ordered the lobster tail as an appetizer and it was the biggest one we ever saw on a cruise. Same with the steaks and Wellingtons. Being a small ship (100 passengers), the service was outstanding.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
On board activities consisted of a presentation of the next days excursions and some small entertainment. One evening is Karaoke and one day is a quiz on the Galapagos.

Service and staff exceeded our expectations. Every crew member would greet you whenever they passed by. This made us feel welcomed and special.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
We are sold on small ship cruising. Everything is close.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was clean and fine for the category we booked. Shower was bigger than most other ships.
Ship tip
The Xpedition never docks in port. You will always get off and on with an inflatable Zodiac boat. Staff are always there to assist you. The Zodiacs add to the adventure of you trip.
Fast. No long lines to disembark. Just like in port, you are taken by Zodiacs in groups of 16 to the shore were a bus takes you to the airport. At the airport you wait in the VIP lounge for your flights. And just like onboard, the VIP lounge has beverages and snacks.
Thanks for sharing this review and insight. While I will probably never be aboard the Expedition, I am glad there are people like you who undertake this amazing experience.
