I have had better service with Royal Caribbean in the past. by bpinterface423

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

I do want to give credit to our dining room waiter from Bali. Who was very good. The food could have been better. We have sailed 6 times with the Royal Caribbean and we are used to have better food. Credit goes to our room attendant Mr. Pulung who was always there for us in whatever we asked. Show were good

Mariner going to dry dock by 123Judy456

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

The application of rules are everywhere on this ship. Oh yes, out of approximately 2800 guests, about 1030 were Pinnacle club members.

Great Repositioning by mgreen542

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

The cruise to me was a once in a lifetime experience. I had been to Dubai many times and it is a shiny but artificial gem. The days at sea were exciting, from picking up armed guards to assist in the protection of the ship from Somali pirates in the Gulf of Aden. We had several medical emergencies including a requirement to transfer a patient to shore by helicopter, and a man overboard on our approach to Port Suez. The stop at Aqaba to visit Petra was the most important for me as it had always been on my bucket list. Jerusalem and Bethlehem were not on my bucket list but I was glad to put important Biblical and religious sites into physical context to add to my perceptions growing up as a Christian

Dubai to Barcelona by jchausmann

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Crew and facilities were great. We did a "private" tour in Ashdod and they let all the RC tours off first, making us 3 hours late.

Great locations and lucky enough to view cherry blossom, always with a warm welcome back on board! by PierreAronnax

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Diamond Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Full marks to Princess for superb and energetic cruise directors and staff with great personalities. The trip ashore in Aomori was memorable. The cherry trees were in full bloom

Wonderful Japan cruise by davidkchan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Disembarkation was slightly chaotic with no system in place to ensure passengers vacated the ship in a civil and organized manner.

The Itinerary was great, the Ship was awful the coldest Ship I have been on I mentioned it to the Hotel Director and he said He would look into it.The results was I came home with severe Bronchitis and am on antibiotics. The food always cold. by dascons

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jewel / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

This was a budget style Ship with excellent stops. The price was good but as I always say you only get what you pay for so I have little further to say. They need to increase heat on Ship as there were so many people sick with colds on this Ship.I had to go to bed with my Dressing Gown on and still cold and the weather was not cold outside just like living in an ice box.

Fair-dining not good. by w9oh

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Skipping Saigon at last minute was a disappointment. Food quality not good-Windjammer constantly being reminded to eat and leave by loud announcements. Food in Dining room not much better. Food in Coastal Kitchen for suites was better. Pizza wasn't even good. Felt food was cheapest they could get their hands on and serve. Did not eat in speciality rest. as we feel we can eat anywhere on shore for prices charged so why do that on ship-maybe we have a strange attitude. No activity to discuss ports or history of ports on sea days. Lack of sea day activity except at the pool. Ship charged for about every activity-drink packages very expensive and internet at $20/day is very high. Feel like once on board you are being fleeced at every opportunity by RC. RC has really slipped-been on about 6 RC cruises and earlier ones good-will not do RC again.

The great repositioning by mgreen542

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

I love repositioning cruises and this one was to be with friends. It was the first leg of a back to back through the Suez Canal

Roundtrip Shanghai by downonmyuppers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Quantum of the Seas / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

The staff etc were brilliant but as this is a cruise from China we were a very small minority of Europeans there just before the F1 race. They take over and are rather noisy and pushy.

Good time but maybe not celebrity again by lodge23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Too much of a us and them feel certain areas/restaurants/ theatre seats reserved for the high end passengers and staff seemed to look after them more and looked down on others never had that with other cruise lines sometimes felt uncomfortable. It was the destinations that we booked the cruise for which were great but maybe go with our usual cruise line next time

Enjoyable cruise by cjsc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Columbus / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Cabin was excellent, loads of storage, comfy bed, quiet. Public areas including bars, theatre, open decks all very nice. Plenty of sunbeds available. Staff on the whole extremely good. Entertainment team very talented but unfortunately only did three shows in two weeks . They also did solo performances which were not as good. Uk guest acts were average. Food ranged from ok to very good but was usually spoilt by being unbelievably salty. With the majority of passengers being over 65 I'm sure some will have blood pressure, heart and kidney problems so salty food not the best for them!! Only one formal night out of 14 then 13 casual nights was also disappointing, but obviously didn't spoil our enjoyment. Would do it again!

Unforgettable trip through the Suez canal by kerrieb1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sapphire Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Although some of the ports were dirty overcrowded and had very little appeal, the overall cruise was fantastic and exceeded our expectations. We made some great friends onboard and were sad to depart.

Sapphire Princess by gibbsie

Brilllant cruise. Would diffidently cruise again but not in Asia if that can be helped. Sometimes you have to cruise places that are not on our bucket list to see others that are.

Fabulous 38 night cruise Singapore to Southampton by ryckw

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Sapphire Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall the cruise was very good. Cabin and steward very good. Shower tiny is only reason I didn't give higher score for cabin but new beds excellent. Lots of trivia and games every day. We had wonderful weather and seas which helped too. Shore tours well organised and the problems we saw weren't caused by Princess. I would recommend this cruise.

Three good ports - not likely to return by MarkDances

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We traveled with 15 cruise friends and throughly enjoyed seeing them again (several were at our wedding 9 years ago). Their presence motivated us to come back to Regent. However the price for their product which now includes excursions on big buses in every port is not a good value. The highlight of the cruise was the Buddhist temple - impressive.

Absolutely amazing cruise by MeganLW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Diamond Princess / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

All staff were wonderful, and we really enjoyed the entertainment. Our only issue was our port excursions. All of the excursions we chose, and paid good money for, were listed as needing moderate walking abilities. Many times we had people with mobility scooters and walking frames which held up departure made boarding and disembarking buses difficult and slow. As lovely as the tour guides were it was frustrating continuously waiting for people that were not able to walk up stairs or traverse simple inclines.

As most of the people on the cruise where a lot older than us, we still enjoyed as we meet some fabulous people.
