Majestic Princess by CarolineKoltun

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Majestic Princess / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

As we cruised with friends from previous cruises we all had a good time with plenty of laughs along the way.We all liked the Any Time Dining so we had a table with the same waiters each night which was good.

Ports of call were to far away. by capnbazza

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Whilst the ship is tired and in need of a refit the staff were excellent. Mind you, the concierges need to take their roll much more seriously and look after their guests. Our cabin steward seemed to be run off his feet, either that or he was very slow. At times our cabin was not ready until after 2.00pm which meant we could not enjoy the cabin as much as we wanted. Make sure you arrange your dining times well in advance of the ships sail otherwise they are not flexible with changes, even being in a Grand Suite.

Great taste of South East Asia! by DebsNZ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall a very enjoyable and memorable trip and one I would recommend to others wanting a small taste is South East Asia. We've experienced 4 cruises with Royal Caribbean and although we're booked to do our 5th next year, I'm a little concerned that their service standards are not as high as they once were - it could simply just be this this ship is larger than the others we've been on.

12 day cruise kobe to Yokohama via Taiwan and South Korea ports by stunz1954

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Diamond Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

The staff were great. As an elite passenger i was shocked to find that Princess has introduce a class system "club class" . We were allowed to eat dinner in the resturant but not breakfast. Once i explained i don't believe in the class system as everyone should be treated the same. After i expressed this, they sorted this out by moving us to the pacific moon and the staff made us feel like family. Thanks for sorting this out and it made us very happy. If there is a club class dining room, they need to keep it just for this class and not mix others. To be fair, this is my point of view only, Others maybe happy with it

Fun Family Holiday - but I probably wouldn’t choose this particular cruise again. by Gwennykins

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall, we had a fun time. The ship and the staff were great - but there were issues which seem to be mainly to do with the dining, as described above. The buffet was very busy and it was impossible for our family of six - we tried various times and abandoned the idea. The ports we visited were probably chosen to be appropriate for the size of ship. We loved Japan and the Japanese people - but I don’t feel we saw the best of Japan. Hong Kong was brilliant and the highlight of he holiday -so much to do and see.

Disaster by Gerryjean

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

It was the worst cruise I have ever been on.The food was mediocre. The wind jammer was very hard to find a seat.Chinese were reserving up to ten seats at a time taking large plates of food when it ran out wasn't being replaced. The ship says no smoking is allowed in indoor public areas yet the casino is like an opium den the amount of smokers using it.At the end of the cruise we were told to leave early to give the ship a deep cleaning because of a novo virus outbreak. The hall where we collected our cases had thousands of people in it and was a nightmare

Very disappointing. by ronnie48

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Very unimpressed with the dining arrangements could not get a reservation all cruise in the three main dining rooms. The food in the Windjammer was well below the usual high standard. Most passengers were very disillusioned with Royal and first time cruisers said they would never travel with the company again. The food and dining arrangements let the company down I have done several cruises with Royal and this is the first one I have given a negative review.

‘Interesting’ cruise by julieNmike

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ovation of the Seas / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Fabulous ship and excellent itinerary which was Hong Kong, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Shimonoseki and back to Hong Kong, not as the app lists it. As noted, facilities on the ship are universally excellent and two many to list here. We felt that the food menu especially was compromised by the location and ethnicity of a proportion of the passengers which is very understandable, but this had a big impact on the lack of choice on the main dining rooms. We love trying new foods, but it all got very ‘samey’’ after the first few days. One casualty that we didn’t know about was Jonny Rockets, which has been replaced with a permanently empty noodle bar. I don’t eat many burgers, but a do enjoy a Jonny rocket or two - not at the same time... The lack of manners and poor treatment of staff was very evident all over the ship, primarily by passengers from a specific country. We were not at all happy to see this, but the brilliant staff dealt with it very well. Overall a very enjoyable cruise, with some aspects that were a little disappointing.

Great cruise by MohitJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall a great experience. Great room service and main dining room, interesting shows and enough to keep us busy all 4 days. Only if the kids club staff was more friendly, the experience would have been exceptional.

Wonder cruise in Japan by rtsang88

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Diamond Princess / Destination: Asia & Indian Ocean

Breakfast and lunch at the buffet restaurant is good. There are lots of attendants at the buffet restaurant and tables get clean up pretty fast. Dinner at the main dinning room is not bad either except I do not like the time arrangement, 2 choice of dinner time, either 5:45pm or 7:45pm. You are required to sit at the same table and at the same restaurant. Another I hate is captain night which request you bring a suit. The entertainment on board is pretty good. Since it is a cruise go around Japan, more than half are Japanese. The on-shore excursion for Japanese speaking is about 30% cheaper than the English speaking tours.

Enjoyable experience with a dash of luxury by cuhullainn

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Queen Elizabeth / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

As a whole, taking account of the duration, ratio of days at sea and ports of call, choosing the Cunard Queen Elizabeth was the good choice for us. We wanted to be impressed, to relax, to spoil ourselves and we did achieve our goal!..... We will be back!!
