A very good cruise by HalS

Ship: Legend of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Ship old and due for reconditioning. I understand it is scheduled. A small ship and easy to get around. Had problems with seating in dining room. Requested a table for 6 or 8. Was assigned to a table for 12. Moved to a table for 8 and we were the only couple there for 3 days. Moved again and it was OK . It seems the seat assignments pay no attention to the requests as several other people had similar issues.

Different type of cruise by GlennT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Voyager of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

The ship is very nice, like most of Royal Caribbean's ships. The food selection was weaker than other cruises we have been on, but the service was perfect. Our stateroom attendant was great as was all of the staff. The itinerary allowed us to see several countries that we would not have visited otherwise. I would not hesitate to book a cruise on this ship again. Some of the ports (Japan, Xiamen, Siagon) did not have much to see on the excursions. However Beijing, South Korea, Bankok, Hong Kong, and Singapore where fantastic. This cruise ship does not have much control over what there is to see at a particular port, but I would not recommend anyone go to Vietnam, it is a dump.

Greece, Israel and Turkey - Wow! by Steveh11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Mariner / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

This was our second time on the Mariner. It has undergone a re-model in 2011 and is very nice. It has fewer than 1,000 passengers and you can even recognize a lot of your fellow travelers. Regent offers truly one cost for everything. We took 12 free shore excursions, paid nothing for wine, champagne and other drinks, tips are included. Our bill at the end of the cruise was truly ZERO.

A dream come true by ClaritaD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Silhouette / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

My husband and I cruise about 2x a month. This was our first Celebrity cruise. Our experience was magnificent; service, food selection, cleanliness to mention a few. Our waiter and asst. waiter Jose Fiesta and Jose Chavez made us feel at home. They went above and beyond their call of duty. Ocean View deck food selection, you couldn't ask for more. The Lawn experience will not be forgotten. What a nice concept. Chef Joselito Reyes is a genius.

This ship, the Mariner of the Sea and its staff were perfect. The ship is amazing and the staff were kind, caring, and exciting. The WOW factor is always present. Tons to do on the ship and the land excursions were great!! I would go again in a heart beat.

Worth every penny by JeffreyK

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Mariner of the Seas / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We sailed from Civitavechia/Rome on 15th September. Boarding quite painless, through check in less than 10 minutes. Went to our room and met our efficient, very friendly and attentive steward Abraham Lincoln from Trinidad. We had lunch at the Windjammer. The Windjammer for breakfast or lunch was something we did out of necessity. The quality of food was adequate (we enjoyed the omelettes) but the crowd of people made it uncomfortable. The food in the main restaurant for breakfast and lunch was good and I enjoyed the salad bar and the service was excellent. The food in the main restaurant, Top Hat and Tails, was good and usually hot, the service was average. I always add ice to my wine but every meal I had to request the ice except once (the day after the headwaiter was informed of our problems). One of our fellow diners at our table requested a cappuccino only to be told that the machine was broken. Also, someone at the table requested strawberries which were not on that days menu and was told it was not available, although it was available to the next table. A couple at our table made a complaint and for the rest of the cruise The headwaiter was informed of both of these items and for the rest of the cruise cappuccinos and strawberries arrived daily but it made the waiters nervous and made us uncomfortable. Our room was excellent and Abraham was always smiling and helpful (reminding us to take water, sunscreen & hats) when leaving on our excursions. We were very disappointed our excursions to Egypt were cancelled but Royal Caribbean made the decision that it was too dangerous due to the situation. They made the best of a bad situation by scheduling stops in Malta & Sicily. The excursions booked through the cruise were expensive but well worth it. The tour guides were very good if not excellent, except for in Malta (which was a last minute change in the itinerary). Of the 2 pools, we loved the Solarium as it was much quieter and adults only. Great Cruise Itinerary by TomB

\"Small ship\" sailing on the Pacific Princess was very nice. A wide range of amenities, great service and less people - a great combination.

Great trip to China by JanetM17

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Viking Emerald / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

The interior of the ship was very well kept and clean. The staff was amazing and very service orientated. All service personel worked very hard to learn your name and personally recognize anytime you crossed paths--from the dining staff to the bar staff. On board taylor was a plus. I had a custom made dress and oriental top made to my measurements. Beautiful. Our local Chinese group organizer's \"American\" name was Jimmy. Jimmy made the trip---on top of all transfers and followed up on all of our needs. Another note--there were NO luggage restrictions on the intra China flights. We were told by Vliking Cruise lines that there would be severe restrictions on luggage and we went out and spent several hundreds of dollars on new lightweight luggage. Viking had a status within the country and luggage was not ever an issue.

Pretty ordinary cruise by RossW

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Pacific Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We are experienced cruisers and looked forward to a 600 person ship which we would compare to the Azamara Journey that we went to antarctica on. The food was banal, same old same old Princess menu. The entertainment was lame, the dancers mostly did arm waving and the two singers were of predictable "Useful" standard, we gave up on going to the "Showtime" shows. The ship's shoppping was highlighted by selling excess stock from Hawaiian cruise (we went Israel/Egypt/Turkey/Italy) and Caribbean old tee shirts and stock. People shook their heads sadly at the odd trinkets and garments.Ship IS going soon for a refit and needs some excitement.

The cruise was a good value for the money. The port of Fujairah could be left out. More time in Abu Dhabi would have been nice.

A very nice cruise by MichaelW5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Nautica / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Officers, staff and crew were excellent! Cuisine was very good except one night in Tuscano (dissapointing and room service orders were usually delivered cold). The ship having been re-modeled is very nice, a bit stuffy as far as decorations but overall, very tasteful. This is a great size ship, small enough to be intimate with other passengers but not too small to feel cramped.
