Ultimate Cruise on Seabourn by gj1213

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seabourn Encore / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Seabourn continues to be a fabulous cruise line. They go above and beyond expectations in every way. We didn’t even feel that we paid much more than on a regular cruise by the time you add tips, drinks and service. We used the Flight Ease program which worked out very well for us. We were also able to stay an extra week in Bali without having to make separate airline reservations. I highly recommend Seabourn to anyone who is considering a luxury cruise. You will never go back to a regular cruise line.

Terrible disappointment by Screenwriterme

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Viking Orion / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

After 9 Viking river cruises, I decided to try a Viking Ocean cruise. As usual, the booking was a nightmare. Booking agents are impossible to work with. When you book something, you get an acknowledgement that doesn't reflect what was agreed. This booking was never really correct but we went with it anyway. Air is impossible to deal with. We were told we had seat assignments then found we did not. With a nearly full international flight, we got some bad seats. Shore excursions are a bait and switch. The included ones are worthless and the optional ones are over priced. From the conversation on the ship, the optional tours are no better. I won't say that I will never take another Viking ocean cruise but there are certainly better options out there.

MSC ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING! by ewop123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: MSC Lirica / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

I decided to get off the ship after being onboard for 55 minutes. It’s absolute chaos. Crew have no idea what is going on. Ask questions and get a different answer each time. Food was diabolically bad. The moment I saw dripping blood off roast pork, I knew I couldn’t continue on this voyage. I packed up my suitcase and got off the ship. I found the ship to be a safety hazard. I hope my negative review helps people better choose their cruise ship and please don’t choose MSC.

Enjoyable South Asian Cruise by vamtboy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Silver Spirit / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

The cruise was interesting but a little overpriced. t gohe ship is nice with very high quality staff and dining. The excursions were OK but could have been greatly improved if they had employed headsets so that everyone could hear the guide's information.

A destination I never thought I would ever experience! Nothing like beint there to see with my own eyes! by jaulett

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

We never expected or planned to take this cruise but when the opportunity came knocking on our door, it was hard to say no. We are so happy we took advantage of such a great deal. Thanks much to Ron Warnes our cruise agent who helped us with everything, the cruise was a dream come true! We did things and saw areas of the world that were only available to us in video and print. There is nothing like being there!

Great Itinerary, Bad Ship by hbainc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Diamond Princess / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Cruise line overall seems to nickel and dime you at every opportunity. Second week activities repeated the first week. Perfect cruise for enrichment lectures -- there were none. Ship, overall, needs to be thoroughly cleaned. So many people with the same cough. Food was generally horrible.

Below average experience by askingroberta

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall, this cruise gets a grade of C- from me. I have been on other Norwegian cruises which were much better. The staff seemed new and inexperienced. The left hand did not seem to know what the right hand is doing. I would not recommend it.

A lot of intersting places! by fcf888

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Norwegian Jade / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall, the cruise was worthwhile. We got to visit a lot of places in a short period of time. Our excursions were good for the most part. Ibrahim, was our guide in Turkey for Ephesus, etc. He was great and very knowledgeable. As I mentioned previously, behavior of some of the passengers pre excursion needs be addressed. Having people push and shove does not make for a pleasant experience and it is not how I want o spend a vacation. NCL really needs to manage this area better. If not, they will loose other customers. I commend the executive chief and the all the other food prep staff for the quality and presentation of the food on this cruise! Great job.

A Memorable Enjoyable Historic Cruise by ceft

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seven Seas Voyager / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall the cruise was great. The food and service in the Speciality Restaurants were very good. Also the main dining room Compass Rose was also good. The internet was extremely poor and the nightly shows in the theatre were average, nothing outstanding.

Pampered Adventure by sjwaterman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Ganges Voyager II / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

It was a terrific experience for us. I think that it is easier for experienced travelers than neophytes as there was a lot of movement among hotels and on excursions, along with unusual food for most of us. Many excursions were early in the morning either to see things that only happen then or to avoid the heat of the day. We felt safe at all times and found there were fewer mosquitoes than we had been told to expect, had an easier time with money and atm machines than we expected, and found the people we met to be very friendly and helpful. The sights were incredible, and the staff of the cruise line were the best - especially our cruise leader, Hemesh Chaturvedi, who ran interference, and kept us organized. We also really enjoyed the small boat experience, very different from the larger boats we have been on in Europe.

Wonderful experience but we still prefer Seabourn smaller ships by saltzamk

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Seabourn Encore / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall a good experience. We had a good time. We had some concerns about the size of the ship and we still think smaller is better. Our prior experiences with the Sojourn, Pride and Quest were better.

A trip of a lifetime on Silver Muse by 525sryan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Silver Muse / Destination: Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)

Overall, I would give the trip 5 stars. The personalized service is wonderful. We loved the smaller ship, as it gave us an opportunity to meet many people from all over. Everyone was friendly. I would highly recommend the trip. It might be worth springing for the private tours to avoid a lot of downtime and less time just traveling to and from excursions. Nothing is close by where the ship docks for the most part.
