It was a terrific experience for us. I think that it is easier for experienced travelers than neophytes as there was a lot of movement among hotels and on excursions, along with unusual food for most of us. Many excursions were early in the morning either to see things that only happen then or to avoid the heat of the day. We felt safe at all times and found there were fewer mosquitoes than we had been told to expect, had an easier time with money and atm machines than we expected, and found the people we met to be very friendly and helpful. The sights were incredible, and the staff of the cruise line were the best - especially our cruise leader, Hemesh Chaturvedi, who ran interference, and kept us organized. We also really enjoyed the small boat experience, very different from the larger boats we have been on in Europe.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was a mix of Indian and American/European. Indian was spicy for us but not for others. Breakfast and lunch offered easy access to some Indian cuisine items and terrific lasse. Wine was mostly from India.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Small boat. Sunset yoga a highlight of activities for me. Fitness center tiny, with three, aerobic machines. Massages were terrific. Evening shows were excellent. And, of course, sitting on the deck seeing the sights along the Ganges or reading were main activities.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
I liked the shows a lot. Of the cruises I have been on, even the crew shows were the best.
Children's Programs
There were 22 guests on the cruise. The youngest was in her 50’s. For a young child, I think the cruise would not be appropriate.
Service and Staff

Simply the best.
Ship Quality

Boat was kept immaculately clean. On return from excursions, we took off our shoes and put on provided slippers while our shoes were washed. That helped keep the decks clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had a Viceroy cabin. It was large, comfortable, and very clean. We were under the outside deck of the boat. So every morning around 5 am, when the crew moved deck chairs, we woke up. They were as quiet as possible, but if one is a light sleeper, it might be better to have a cabin in the bow section.
Ship tip
Assume food will be a little different from Midwest US food and try everything.
One has to see Dehli. Coming a day ahead will give the traveler a chance to acclimate before the excursions begin. We did the morning excursions. They were excellent; and arranged a driver from the hotel for the afternoon so we could see the national museum.
We had sunset and sunrise excursions to the Taj Mahal. We enjoyed the opportunity to see it twice, and the ability to get photos from both times. The sunrise visit was at a time with fewer people, with cooler air, and more color. It is too bad there is so much smog from the farmers burning, as we lost a lot of the drama of the sunset and sunrise. No photo can do this sight justice. And the hotel we stayed in was amazing.
